Hi Dell,

Nice of you to mention me, but am not sure my trades in Arc should be taken as anything worthy of following !! :-)

I don't know anything about the technology, and the company looks awful to me, but it's one of the few shares trading below net cash still, and my interest stems from the possible value in the IP.

All sorts of unlikely shares seem to be rocketing in price at the moment as people get excited about the IP again. Maybe Arc will be next ?? Even if it is not, the downside looks pretty well covered to me for the next few months anyway, while the cash pile remains above the market cap.

I doubled my stake to 400,000 shares this morning, so fingers crossed !!!

Regards,

Paul Scott.

Paul Scott appears to be increasing his holding of ARK.

He mentions it within thread discussing risks of shorting LMC

I was surprised at the lack of a rise after a relatively positive outlook in recent results.
Maybe it just needed a helping hand from TA indicators.

OK, I'm guessing!

Symbol,
Yes I thought exactly the same, half as many shares, same company, still a mountain of cash in reserves ( about 32p per share) and yet they are floundering around at 22p. Bizarre!! It would be worth somebody buying them out just for the cash refund. Grossly undervalued IMHO and HOLD for better times to come.

Hard work has been done, the foundation laid.

ARC is coming off age.

Anyone wants a degree of risk with a potential of huge returns, get in before fund managers. They want certainty, a meager 10% return will satisfy their rating, but not mine. When they do get in, the price will no longer be in 20s.

And who is talking about risk? ARC has the very least financial risk.

Even if revenue does not pick up quickly, ARC can go into reverse gear, reducing staff and could make a breakeven very easily based on current annual turnover of >10 million.
The cost of sales is very small, and gross margin is >85%.

Hey, what if the business does pick up?

Many other tech shares soared with >100% gains in the last few months (RTD, FIB, KWL. etc). Time for ARK's turn. That is why I sold out those shares and zooming on ARK. And this one will be for medium term holding, not a trading stock.

I thought the share buy back was going to increase our share value. I should of taken the buy back at a strike rate of 29p, as I will only get 20.5p on the stock exchange, or I have got it wrong?

Encouraging outlook statement:

Outlook

Our pipeline for new products is stronger than ever. In the third
quarter, we are on track to introduce a significant number of products
across the processor, peripheral and software business units. We will
continue to focus on optimising our cost structure and reducing cash
burn. In the last six months, we have completed a share buy back and
maintain a strong balance sheet. We now believe that ARC is in a much
stronger position to benefit from any pick-up in customer spending.

Haven't read results fully yet but reduction in cashburn is excellent news:

"Cash burn (excluding the share buyback) reduced by 23% to £3.4 million"

the answer my friend is the management have to step up pace, work twice - no, thrice - as hard to drive the business and ensure it exceeds targets. else its down the drain for the all of us

Results are due out on Wednesday 30th. ARC are still holding cash to the value of 30p per share for those shares remaining after the recent buy-back at 29p. That strikes me as ludicrously cheap at 21p and another quarter closer to profitable trading. Your views would be much appreciated.

Don't know about positive news this morning. ARM issued a grim trading update

Having said that, it doesn't seem to have had a knock on effect on Arc yet.
