10/2/2021 09:39 | Blue-blooded JP MORGAN ASSET MANAGEMENT have just closed down, liquidated and de-listed their highly successful and long-standing London-quoted BRAZIL INVESTMENT TRUST citing POLITICAL CONCERNS over investing there. Brazil is an increasingly high risk country to invest in, with a right-wing Bolsonaro government where many fear that punitive taxes may soon be levied on overseas investors. Not only are there major concerns over heightened political risk of investing in Brazil but other investors are pulling out of Brazil on ESG grounds in outrage at the ongoing wholesale destruction of the Amazonian Rain Forests. A very risky country to invest in, which many institutional investors are (as with fossil fuels) increasingly avoiding. ALL IMO. DYOR, QP | quepassa

10/2/2021 09:03 | Wonder what QP makes of this tweet from Brazilian Nickel below... APF with an investment and lucrative royalty over a cutting edge clean, green operation in resources that are central to the EV battery revolution."This 'green' heap leach technology results in high purity #nickel and #cobalt intermediates and all residues are solid wastes with no need for any tailings dams" $nickel $cobalt #mining https://t.co/6uyCmVq | the deacon
10/2/2021 08:21 | #Troc1958 ... from the 27.08.2020 H1 update.. We also note the progress Cadence Minerals is making in trying to bring the Amapá project back online, following a court supervised reorganisation paving the way towards the establishment of a joint venture to inject new capital into the project. The Group we will be claiming its royalty entitlements over any stockpile sales. We have been following the updates provided by Cadence Minerals with particular interest. Cadence is working with the former Zamin operating company with the intention to form a joint venture to bring the mine back into operation. The creation of the joint venture will require the current senior secured creditors to relax their security claims over the project at which point Cadence will release from escrow its initial investment and become a 20% owner in the project. Cadence has reported that discussions with the senior secured creditors are progressing well. In addition, the Brazilian courts have reaffirmed its decision to allow the shipment of the 3Mt of iron ore currently sitting as a stockpile in the port facilities. The Group has a 1% life of mine GRR on all iron ore and other non-precious minerals produced from the Amapá Iron Ore System, owned and operated by Zamin Ferrous Limited.. [2013] Anglo American plc ("Anglo American") announces the completion of its sale of 100% of the Amapá iron ore operation in Brazil to Zamin Ferrous Ltd, following receipt of regulatory approval for an initial total cash consideration of $134 million.. | laurence llewelyn binliner
10/2/2021 08:06 | Wonder how this decision will impact Anglo Pacific's royalty on Amapa. They currently have s 1% life of mine GRR on it.According to the Anglo Pacific website re Amapa ....."Operations at Amapá remained suspended throughout 2015, with Zamin attempting to restructure its finances to fund the rebuilding of the Santana port. In light of the continued suspension of operation at Amapá, together with further declines in iron ore prices, the Directors have recognised a further impairment charge of £2.8m during 2015, reducing the carrying value of the Amapá royalty to £1.8m as at December 31, 2015."No updates on website yet ... | troc1958

09/2/2021 18:09 | You really don't get it, do you, QuePassa? Everybody already knows 2020 was a poor year, hence the decline in the share price over the period. But that was then. I am investing NOW for the next few years when rewards are imo likely to be much better going forward as the effect of the pandemic declines and the share price recovers. I am already a good 30% up in share price terms over two months and will shortly be in receipt of my first dividend payment too. So you keep whining and I'll keep making money. | woodhawk
09/2/2021 18:07 | EMH are going to be looking for their 49% share of the finance for the Cinovec lithium mine at circa $250m. APF certainly have the means to make a dent in that and it would certainly fit the profile. The DFS on that project is due this year. | sporazene2
09/2/2021 17:57 | Dear Que, Your call a few weeks back has done you proud but my guess is that You switched to being a buyer when you saw the coal price rising, And you were right, calling it beautifully, as you rightly point out ESG metals are the way to go and the Anglo pac portfolio is bulking up nicely in this department. Keep the comments coming | pockstones

09/2/2021 15:44 | Our share price is up 35% (so far) from the recent lows of November, our royalty basket commodity prices are rebounding well, and we are just 1 quarter into the income recovery, we know Q1 from Kestrel will be +c50%, we already have GBP 4.8M from LIORC received inside our Q1 just for starters, then Copper up, Vanadium up.., Q1-2021 income should be in the order of GBP 15.0M.. :o) Our 1.75p Q3 dividend next week, then the 3.75p Q4 dividend in June.. | laurence llewelyn binliner
