27/6/2022 15:47 | Pogue again all part of that Agenda 21/2030. | katsy
27/6/2022 15:30 | Seems the stop producing oil idea is also popular in Ecuador and not just Colombia. Odd things happening in South America the Green Left agenda is gaining a lot of momentum.... Ecuador could be forced to suspend all oil production within 48 hours as anti-government protests in the country intensify, the Ecuadorian energy ministry warned. The production suspension was to be "due to the acts of vandalism, takeover of wells and closing of roads, supplies and diesel necessary to maintain operations has not been possible," the ministry said, as cited by Bloomberg....... Ecuador has proven reserves of some 8.273 billion barrels of crude oil but is producing only about 400,000 bpd. Petroecuador, however, has the ambition to double this output level over the next five years and is looking for private sector investments of up to $12 billion to do it. Ecuador is a former member of OPEC. However, if the government satisfies all of the protesters' demands, this increased output may never come into being: one of the demands is a moratorium on all new oil and mining projects in the Andean country. | pogue

27/6/2022 08:29 | It may though highlight the difference between the western paper market for gold and the eastern physical market.. | donald pond
27/6/2022 08:20 | On alternative markets for Gold, the POLY business update last week covers exactly this off, they have sourced new buyers in the east and not found it too difficult to set up, there is a lag in cashflows as new arrangements bed in, but the west turning the buying tap off is not a barrier to sales.. How soon before the buyback commences..? | laurence llewelyn binliner
27/6/2022 07:50 | Morning Wan, had a bit of time yesterday, I’m sure there’s plenty I forgot but had other distractions in the week. My conviction remains very high with AAZ, when generally I’m looking for short plays or long bounces in this market over the summer months. | riggerbeautz
27/6/2022 07:41 | TXP, what are your thoughts on their cash position KS, can they get to August revenue stream without a raise!? Many thanx, Cheers Wan :-) | wanobi

27/6/2022 02:35 | I believe any gold coin, ingot, bar, will have a stamp or design showing who produced it in that form, if not who dug it out of the ground. It's a simple matter to melt it down and recast it, but I don't know if there's some sort of etiquette around that? Anyway, who cares if the G7 won't buy it, there are another 190 countries who will. Are we going to refuse to buy Chinese or Korean phones because they may have some Russian gold in? | zangdook
27/6/2022 00:17 | rigger, cash is certainly a depreciating asset at present! That said, in the present market cash is also king (as a good many of us have cause to know, having seen our portfolios fall well behind cash this last few months) and it is costly to raise. I have confidence in the management though, and certainly I strongly approve of companies retiring capital they do not need to the shareholders. Melrose is a copybook example. I have always done better using such capital returns (often accompanied by a share reduction) to buy more shares, generally leaving my holding more valuable than any share buy back by the company would have done. | 1knocker
26/6/2022 23:19 | Thanks Rb for the further update on AAZ. I hope it breaks through £1 this week although I guess it could lose a couple of pence when it goes ex-divi on June 30th I believe. Hopefully in the next few months we will some of the following news... Ratification update (in three weeks time), Q2 production update (not expecting much), hopefully confirmation of shipping some ore back from Vejnaly, plans for the new areas in terms of priorities and a better estimate on overall production for 2022. The future is looking bright. | odsjp
26/6/2022 23:13 | Starting point for week 26 below. End of this week we will be half way through 2022. I am going to be optimistic (like the JP Morgan article I posted) and hope for a better 2nd half. Normally when I go with the grain I lose out, so going contrarian. I will stick with THG again this week though. For all those who had 4D selected, I have frozen your balance for that share until we hear news. I hope that all those patents are worth something and some big Pharma can pay the measly amounts that are owed. Looks strange to me. | odsjp
26/6/2022 22:13 | odsjp Can I please go AAZ ,HBR and JSE please this week. Cheers | venture2
26/6/2022 21:55 | 1k You say and share buy backs, as if it may be a weakness to the balance sheet, the company may yet use that money for future capex; nothing is set in stone. One thing I did hear, as DP alludes, Stephen would very much like to spend it, he jokingly referenced in conversation, money on the balance sheet as a wasted resource. Even setting those aside, AAZ has an agreement in place to tap Pasha Bank, should they need to do so. If that doesn’t answer your question, contact Bill, when he’s not too busy, I’m sure he’ll respond to a genuine question on balancing the books, since it’s his main area of expertise :) | riggerbeautz
26/6/2022 21:54 | GEMD, SEPL & ALTN for me please. | lloydypool
26/6/2022 21:42 | odsjp Can I please go REAT , AAZ and JSE please this week. Thanks | jeanesy

26/6/2022 21:38 | Seems witless to me. Russia sell it to Dubai, India or China and then they sell it to whoever they want. The whole point of gold is its fungibility. A complex substance like oil (or wine) has a chemical fingerprint so you can tell where it came from. A pure substance like refined gold, silver or copper is just that. An ounce of American gold is identical to an ounce of Russian gold. Am I missing something? | donald pond |
