17/2/2021 09:22 | I know this isn't bitcoin but the two articles below are well worth a read if you are looking to diversify. China is looking to stop exporting rare earths to the US to punish it. When it did this to Japan over the territorial ownership of some islands in 2010/2011 a few of the rare earth metals themselves went up 10 fold. Lynas (one of the few non-chinese rare earth producers) went up to A$28 and during the subsequent crash went down as low as A$0.28. It is now sitting at A$5 which is the price before it went stratospheric. From a chart perspective a nice cup is forming. We have three rare earth explorer/miners on the LSE all discussed below. RBW my favourite in the original weekly competition last year was 3.5p and it is now 20p. I know it is not ARB and not in the same league in terms of share appreciation during the same timeframe but it nothing to be sniffed at either. If China follows previous form then we could be on for another ride. hxxps://mineralprice | odsjp
17/2/2021 09:16 | "I have to be careful what I say here " I guess we'll never know the real answer to all that takeover business a few years ago. Just seems to "have went away" like Bill says. It is all a bit suspicious, either that or Bill was caught off guard | ilostthelot
17/2/2021 09:03 | Sure is Jeanesy, allowing me to trade off some cheap ones into the rise. Soon have a nice free ride here. | riggerbeautz
17/2/2021 08:44 | The company should be labouring the point about all these new gold resources. Maybe that is the plan once the extension is in place for gedabek?! Looking forward to that Rns stating the plan to restart Zod with the intentions of producing 150,000 ozs pa. If that doesn't get the share price over £2 nothing will!! | ilostthelot

17/2/2021 07:39 | Wan if you’ve been listening to Bumpa you will know the Covid stuff is a side show; it does grab the headlines though. It’s the whole concept of SFX-01 being used for treatment to my untrained eye. Can’t put a value on it myself, but one result on so so many shots, screams cheap right now. Just have to have it in your mind that any first failure will see it sell off, that’s why I’d been trading it to reduce the average down. | riggerbeautz
17/2/2021 07:33 | EVG - if they can help with cv19 that's great, its not going away anytime soon and treatments will be just as important as vaccines as viruses mutate and continue to attack our respiratory systems etc etc.... ridiculous MCAP :-) LOL, GLA Cheers Wan :-) | wanobi
17/2/2021 07:32 | Agree. I have a lot of respect for Bumpa. I think he will be proven right on EVG now the shenanigans are out of the way. | brasso3
17/2/2021 07:30 | Brasso, I’ve took a couple of chunks the last couple of days, can’t see EVG staying sub 10p now, even if others do dispose of cheap shares. | riggerbeautz

Emmerson recently received the Mining Licence (see RNS dated 9 February 2021) for Khemisset providing the Company with the exclusive right to develop and mine the potash deposit, in the Khemisset basin ahead of the anticipated initiation of construction by the end of 2021. | wanobi

17/2/2021 07:22 | EVG RNS Today Rb :-) Cheers Wan :-) STAR COVID-19 trial exceeds 100 patients Evgen Pharma plc (AIM: EVG), a clinical stage drug development company, announces that as of 16 February, a total of 102 patients had been recruited and randomised to the STAR trial ("SFX-01 Treatment for Acute Respiratory infections"). This Phase II/III trial is a randomised, placebo-controlled trial, sponsored by the University of Dundee and funded by the UK charity LifeArc. It is investigating whether the Company's lead asset, SFX-01, can reduce the severity, or prevent the onset of, acute respiratory distress syndrome ("ARDS") in patients with suspected COVID-19. Patients may be included in the study if they are infected with SARS-CoV-2 or another respiratory infections causing community-acquired pneumonia. The trial design includes an assessment of safety and futility by a Data Safety and Monitoring Board ("DSMB") who will review unblinded data on the first 100 patients treated. In addition to the DSMB safety and futility assessment, Dundee University ("the Sponsor") has decided to review the top-level unblinded data in a preliminary assessment of possible efficacy. This may lead to adjustments to the design of the trial for remaining patients, including in patient numbers, and possibly early termination for either safety, futility or alternatively, strong efficacy. It is expected that this initial data will be available during the second quarter of calendar 2021. The Sponsor has also requested that the DSMB review data from the first 60 patients solely for safety and this process will be starting shortly. The outcome of this is expected to be available in early Q2 2021. Completion of recruitment to the STAR trial is anticipated at the end of 2021/Q1 2022, assuming there are no substantial changes in the total patients to be recruited. Dr Huw Jones, CEO of Evgen, commented : "We are pleased with the recruitment progress in this trial and would again like to thank Professor James Chalmers and his colleagues at Dundee for their considerable efforts in a very challenging clinical environment. Randomising over 100 patients is an important milestone in this trial and takes us a step closer to receiving the initial data from the study. We look forward to further updating the market as we progress through this important trial." | wanobi
