13/2/2021 11:46 | I did not see AAZ being back at 150p again a few weeks back! Its a challenge to stay positive here sometimes. We need those extensions asap to start allowing the market to price in some growth. | brasso3
13/2/2021 11:41 | Russian peacekeepers complete work on demining territory in Karabakh hxxps://news.am/eng/ | bleepy
13/2/2021 10:25 | droyden, that is a very good idea and would alleviate the advantage of weekend crypto pricing - bit late now for a few of us who have managed to 'wreck' the competition?! With some of the moves it has been a bit like the gold price gapping up $200 and thinking, hmmm, I wonder if gold miners might have a good week next week? The one observation I will make (which has been highlighted in the Blonity Youtube vids constantly) is that there are Canadian listed crypto miners that are very undervalued against American listed peers based on crypto holdings and mining power, so, there will undoubtedly be a big opportunity to make short-term gains if/when any of them get a Nasdaq listing. Unfortunately I cannot seem to buy them with my SIPP and ISA accounts, so I will probably miss out on this opportunity - ARB will be the best UK option to play this, but it appears to already be rising on anticipation. I wasn't brave enough to continue holding after a 1,000%+ gain, nor buy back in after the drop to the 60s. Stomached enough volatility for the time being - but well done Brasso and others who took advantage. | king suarez
13/2/2021 09:49 | fair point Brasso :-) cheers Wan :-) | wanobi
13/2/2021 09:39 | Wan How do you further destabilize a country where the government has already caused hyperinflation through irresponsible debt and money printing? The link I sent you was about Nigeria but the use of crypto is widely adopted in Argentina. The Peso has gone from 4 - 90 in 10 years against the USD. In the past the citizens of these countries had no way out. Now there is an escape route! | brasso3
13/2/2021 09:02 | Avsome1968 Well what are the odds of that I too am a joiner in the small town of Wakefield....is that you dad? 😂😂 Oakey 😁 | oakey1
13/2/2021 05:54 | Thanks odsjp12 - I'm not bored ;-) Yes fantastic week - well done KS for DGHI - as soon as you posted it, I knew you'd do well as I'd seen it flagged up as an undervalued miner. I think it's done it's thing for now. KR1 surprised me this week - I was expecting it to rise on the back of it's underlying assets but to see it list on OTC (not formal yet so not announced by the company) was a lovely surprise. This route was transformational for ARB from which I rolled much of my profits. ARB - yes undoubtedly going for NASDAQ listing. As I understand it, they had ticked most of the boxes for listing already but need to close at over $2. I'm not sure of the rules but seems they need to maintain this for a time (week??) before allowed for inclusion. Seems an odd archaic rule. With the Bitcoin adoption appearing everywhere - like it or loathe it - this is the rocket to ride imo. KR1 & ARB have swallowed up all the well-researched companies in my actual portfolio. My picks for next week will undoubtedly be in the crypto space but not sure on which as yet - alot can happen in crypto while Wall St. is closed. | fez
13/2/2021 05:31 | yes zangdook thank ZOD it is mostly in Azerbaijan now. Gov will want to get AAZ moving so that they can benefit from their share of production. | michaelfenton
13/2/2021 01:10 | Sorry if this has been raised before, and it's not directly relevant, but this paragraph from the GPM prospectus caught my eye: There are border disputes between Armenia and Azerbaijan which may have a material adverse effect on the Group's business in the region. The Zod mine is located in the Gegharqunik Marz (region) of Armenia, which is near the Nagorno-Karabakh region, which is the subject of dispute. See "—Political conditions or policies in Russia and Armenia could change and could materially adversely affect the business of the Group—Armenian Political Conditions". Should political tensions or hostilities escalate, the mine's close proximity to this region may result in it becoming difficult to access and isolated from economic supply and distribution channels, which could have a material adverse effect on the Group's business, results of operations and financial condition and/or the price of the Notes. I would have thought that is inadequate and leaves them open to legal action by anyone who invested, because the mine is only partly in a region of Armenia, and mostly in a (then) occupied region of Azerbaijan. | zangdook
13/2/2021 00:55 | The Armenian authorities seem to bee a pathetic lot all round; a little magnanimity in victory wouldn't hurt to solve this sort of human problem: | zangdook
13/2/2021 00:25 | You could make it so that any stocks switched when the market is closed takes the price at say 8.30 or 9am monday, rather than 4.30 Fri. This would allow LTH to continue, but any switches based on weekend news outwith market opening hours to decide if they are committed enough to take a 30/60min hit on the price. | droyden
12/2/2021 23:08 | stunning performance by fez, KS and others at the top of the table,,,, very well played guys, truly awesome and really shows how this game can be a life changer,,,, just got to keep at it :-) Cheers Wan :-) | wanobi
12/2/2021 23:02 | fwiw,,, my view,,,, we're all here to make money,,,, if its to be made in BTC & related stocks then so be it,,,, I think it's essential we keep crypto plays in the competition,,,, nothing goes up forever :-) LOL,,,, well usually anyhow :-) Cheers Wan :-) | wanobi
12/2/2021 22:36 | I think that is part of it KS but don't let it detract from your great result (as well as fez and others) as it keeps the rest of us languishing at the bottom of the table hoping as well as researching the stocks that you mention. I must admit that ALGW is still on my list and waiting for the right time to take some profit in other stocks and invest. There is a long way to go until Dec 31st for both the weekly and yearly competition and it will be interesting to see what numbers we will see at the end of it. | odsjp
12/2/2021 22:17 | KS So I can't go 100% on ARB next week? :( I think it would be better if we removed crypto stocks from the weekly competition as KS states it provides an unfair advantage. | brasso3
12/2/2021 22:15 | I feel that the fact crypto currencies trade 24/7 makes this comp easier than it should be right now (and easier than real life trading is). You can take a view late on a Sunday as to whether crypto currencies have rallied over the weekend and get somewhat of a head-start for the week as you can be reasonably assured any crypto related stocks will gap up and have a strong week. That said, £30k to £480k - second time I have 10 x bagged in this competition in a row, so I will take it - just playing by the rules! Congrats to Fez on that KR1 pick - new end of year target £1bn? Edit - appears I sold ARB far too early.. oh well.. | king suarez
12/2/2021 22:13 | He didn't comment, but he couldn't keep a smirk off his face that suggested 'somethings brewing alright' | qazwsxedc69
12/2/2021 22:12 | There is more to that 50% rise in ARB on the OTC IMO. In the ARB Q and A yesterday, Peter Wall would not comment on a NASDAQ listing. Its quite obvious they are looking at another listing but maybe it will be on the TSX. Should be crazy on Monday if BTC is still around $50k. | brasso3
12/2/2021 22:09 | FT front page tomorrow 'is Bitcoin going mainstream' ? | qazwsxedc69
12/2/2021 22:06 | As long as Bitcoin price stays somewhere near where it is now, what price does ARB open at on Monday Morning Brasso? Must be minimum 1.65-1.75? What a game it is..... | fozzie
12/2/2021 22:04 | Week 14 results are here... Is it just me or is the competition getting a bit boring? In first place with largest weekly gain is fez with kr1 up 96% (357K in a week) to an overall balance of £727K. That £1M target is looking to easy now!!! In second place is KS up 72% (£202K in a week) to an overall balance of £480K. The best performing share wasn't even Kr1 but KS's choice of DGHI which was up 135%. ARB (the laggard) in third place was only up 47%. A few other shares did ok such as ORR (36%), PPC (24%), ODX (22%), GRL (19%), AVCT (16%), MODE (12%), TXP (10%) but as usual it was all about crypto. 12/2/2021 21:49 | Sorry to hear that Donald Pond. I really liked what you guys were doing. I hope you can get something going again in some form or another | leopoldalcox
12/2/2021 21:48 | 1.95 GBP close on ARB on the OTC. No smoke without fire? | brasso3
