12/6/2020 12:47 | Sorry of topic.Have a look at PURE there is still 6% to be made by holding for 1month. I took a position when price was under 80p. Price now 94p cash offer 100p. This is not advice to buy. DYOR | ![]() kickingking
12/6/2020 12:32 | Mattjos, in a rational world where most people managed their own money, I would expect to have seen some while ago a flight from companies with declining profits, but the absurd borrowing of vast sums to buy back company shares, in order to boost director bonuses, has created a false market. Human minds can see this but so called artificial intelligence running investment programmes evidently cannot. It's like being in a bus driven by a robot following a sat-nav, that takes them into a lake! A few of the passengers looking out of the windows realise somethings wrong and jump out of the emergency exit, the majority however trust that all will be well until they see the water coming in, and then they all try to get out at once. I feel as if I got off the bus in good time, and am now watching it heading at speed along a pier. I do rather wish I was reading about this 50 years from now, because it feels like things are going to get interesting over the next few months. | ![]() lefrene
12/6/2020 12:13 | I like to remind myself that all the gold ever mined would fit into a cube of 21m x 21m x 21m! That really puts it into context! | ![]() brasso3
12/6/2020 12:12 | The decreasing velocity of money (over many years now) has been a critical factor in the problems facing the FED, as I believe they recognize. | ![]() bo doodak
12/6/2020 12:11 | sometimes wonder of people actually know what it is that we are digging up out the ground & at what cost relative to sales price. Gold remains above $1,700. That is $220/oz more than the company assumption for the year and $100 ore than Hardman assumed. There have been five attempts so far since 14th April this year to smash Gold price back down below $1,700 & each one has failed. $1,700 looks like it is solidifying as a good support line. Over same timescale there has been one attempt to breakout past $1,750 but, we have not yet managed a daily close above that level. I don't think it will be long before we have a second attempt to climb over that barrier as rising support is going to lift us there and start to build the pressure there. Interest rates are Zero & will be staying there for a long time … they may very well go below Zero later this year. Then how will the establishment try to persuade people there is still too much opportunity cost involved in holding Gold & all the while the central banks are printing more and more fiat currency .. as if there is no tomorrow to worry about. The train continues to accelerate towards the end of the track & the engineers out front cannot lay the new track fast enough | ![]() mattjos
12/6/2020 12:05 | yep, great book Ged5, cheers Wan :-) I can't stop writing in my diary now I've started it LOL LOL | wanobi
12/6/2020 12:03 | Hi Riggerbeautz. Finished 'The Little Book of Behavioural Investing. Thanks for the recommendation. I know you've read it too, Wan. I think keeping a diary of why I select a stock was the part I'm taking from the book. I also intend to read it perhaps each quarter to remind me of the many other good points it makes about introspection. It coincided with an alcohol free week so looking forward to the weekend! | ![]() ged5

12/6/2020 11:57 | Re EML, post copied from Micky1 Early 2019 and progress to date has been on track from what he said nearly 18 months ago....bit of weekend listening Have a look at this folks. Very informative interview from the CEO and spot on re time-scale for delivering the full Definitive Feasibility Study. He’s a clever guy with a mining and investment banking background so we’re in very safe hands with this bloke at the helm. Also been involved with huge buy-outs of the companies he and the experienced board know how to get a successful sellable package together. www.emmersonplc.com/ | ![]() sportbilly1976
12/6/2020 11:57 | KS - just watched the AVCT presentation,,,, the best yet by far,,, I may have to go much larger than I first though :-) many thanx, cheers Wan :-) | wanobi
12/6/2020 11:51 | Spent time yesterday and again this morning looking around the P.M bullboards I’ve often browsed around, which whilst not reflective of mainstream, what is increasingly obvious is more people are joining and therefore more people waking up to P.M’s. All probably explains why premiums are so high in investment grade bullion in places. Anyone thinking of holding physical, really needs to find reliable vendors and pay as close to spot as they can because there is some crazy purchases going on in the clamour. | ![]() riggerbeautz
12/6/2020 11:29 | AVCT - I've taken some more,,,, was hoping that GAP had closed before doing so, but it hasn't and momentum is building,,,, over 650 viewers on that presentation,,, will look to add further,, scaling in on the GAP fill or further up if it goes off on a run now,,,, time is running out though, with Cytiva news which could drop any day now :-) Prototype Cytiva/AVCT antigen test by end of June,,, CE marking asap in the summer.... could be great timing for the second wave of cv19 which seems. unfortunately,,, inevitable right now.... 12/6/2020 10:43 | Good morning all. Have decided to increase my holding by 30% in AVCT. My average now just under 75p so have a decent safety cushion. I thought last night presentation went well. If one of the best fund manager is happy to pay 120p and take a 3% stake then who am I to argue. Got to be in it to win it as they say. GLH | ![]() kickingking
12/6/2020 10:27 | many thanx pof, I may be wrong when I say this, but I think a lot of us here have looked at so many stocks recently we are becoming a bit share-blind (new Wan term LOL :-),,, great post and many thanx for posting it here,,, you very welcome to post your suggesting and I greatly appreciate that you have done so,,, I will do some research this weekend on PXC,,,, in the meantime, the chart looks very encouraging :-) Cheers Wan :-) free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | wanobi |
