Good morning all, good luck and the best of health to you all today :-) Cheers Wan :-)

Peter Schiff today, the USA,,,,

It took the nation 210 years to run the National Debt up to $2 trillion. It took exactly 2 months and 2 days to add the most recent $2 trillion. The National Debt just passed $26 trillion, and the Fed has given Congress the green light to keep borrowing, as it will keep printing.

I'll be getting in touch with Conifer/Ruane/Sequoia and telling them about PYC Physiomics

They will love it

Would be great if PYC came up on their radar independently of course say for instance if AVCT decided to use Physiomics' cancer modelling software in development of their cancer therapeutics

You are entirely correct. ‘StrategicR17; can take many forms. Here are my thoughts for what they are worth and why, for the long-term, this is probably the most important announcement yet, perhaps until exit;

1. Sequoia has the Finacial resources to have taken the entire placing of $48m and lost it in a balance sheet rounding error. ie, they must love this to have got involved at only £10m.

2. They are a VC (Venture Capital) fund. It is virtually unheard of (due to their model and mandates) to invest in a publicly traded company. So, they must REALY love this.

3. Sequoia have a massive following in the US. It’s investments are watched by the entire market. The average investor/fund in the USA only dreams of being able to get in at the ground floor of a Sequoia investment, which are almost all private. Now they can and word will get around.

4. Sequoia has a legendary analyst team/department that constantly scans the landscape, rigorously and forensically examining and sifting investment opportunities. That they have identified and selected Avacta against the competition is highly impressive.

5. This investor has the power and influence to do two very important things for the longevity of Avacta.

Firstly, it can play honest broker to any ‘Strategic partner’ with the ability to fund expansion without recourse to other funds ie, a very big friend with very big pockets at the end of the phone.

Secondly, it can fend any takeover bid. It has more immediately deployable capital and access to further capital than any Pharma.

All of these factors add up to, in my view, being the most important ‘StrategicR17; development, this or any current AIM company will have experienced in years.

This is ‘Big Leagues’

Wan there is a very good post by Johnnyb1 on the AVCT thread. I think it would be good for you to copy over to here. It's regarding the strategic investor.

A bit like gold miners Matt, it’s all been about which you choose. No different to any sector of the stock market.
I’ve only dabbled in one covid stock (you know I’ve long said diversification is just poor when done too much) but made plenty with a small investment, I know someone who’s made a 6 figure sum just with picking the right one.
A bit like goldies, there’s plenty of duff stuff. It’s all about the research and “feel” for me, same as for goldies.
Granted they’ll mostly be gone in a couple of years but you can say that about a good many miners (granted possibly not gold miners at the moment - nice PoG action tonight)

Now I have even more cash to work into AAZ

Maybe!
It has been a while since we had 3 days of +10%
I'm more inclined to think Q3 will see us break out to All time highs with the Jorc due out and gold prices remaining strong.

Maybe gold will break 1750 this time. A strong move higher will soon follow the breakout, according to many good Technical analysis guys I follow on twitter.

From todays holdings RNS's it Looks like the seller at ORPH is almost cleared possible bargains to be had there.
One negative though Cathal Freil had previously said he had assurances the Woodford holding was not going to be sold. Halo slipping now unless he has been misled, hopefully clarification in one of his many interviews will appear soon.

Interest rates zero for at least next 2 years. While it might seem mad to suggest you mortgage up to the hilt and put it all into an Azerbaijan gold miner...that dividend is looking better and better
