TXP - Nice summary from Stockhouse in Canada

Author: Proselenes
May 29, 2020 - 01:05 AM
Summary of the Proactive Webinar from TXP

Coho production on line from October 2020 (OCTOBER 2020)

Cascadura pressure recorder readings maybe next week or second week of June. These will inform on the MINIMUM pool size of Cascadura as well as likely production flow rate. (JUNE 2020)

Cascadura reserve report should be released before middle of July with P10/50/90 figures. (JULY 2020)

Chinook should be drilling in July with results end of July/beginning of August. Top drive added to the rig for better drilling performance. (AUGUST 2020)

Chinook testing if successful while drilling Cascadura Deep (SEPTEMBER 2020)

Cascadura Deep well now in planning, likely September spud (rig already upgraded pre-Chinook with a top drive). Still very interested in what they will find in the deep - could be more liquid rich gas, or indeed, oil. (OCTOBER 2020)

Cascadura Deep testing if successful (NOVEMBER 2020)

Royston well planning now to be drilled in Q1 2021. (Q1 2021)

News every month now for the next 6 months!!!!!

Cheers
Wan :-)

aha, Rb, yes,,,, trade within your comfort zone on all positions - yep, the way I have been looking at that, with the exception of AAZ,,,, is,,, to say to myself, ok Wan, are you comfortable with any position you hold dropping by 50% and taking the hit and moving on,,,,, if I am, then I feel I'm not over exposed,,,, :-)

now,, when I say that,,, that's a fall of 50% because there is a unique event on that particular stock, rather than the entire market falling 50% and every stock I own doing the same,,,,, in the case of the later I'd simply remain invested,,,, but, the former, I'd be ok to sell up and move on with a 50% loss,,,,, and that's exactly what I put into practise with PTAL... :-)

that approach is just something that seems to work for me and I formulated it myself for me,,,, not saying its right :-) LOL

now, we come to AAZ,,, my first investment,,,, hmm, what can I say, 50% loss there would be a real crash & burn event and one which I'd have to say,,,, Wan you idiot,,, why did you not follow all the things you've learned along the way and reduce your holding there!!!! answer,,,, I'm hoping the gains I'm making elsewhere will in time enable me to say, ok, 50% loss in AAZ we can now live with :-) LOL

100% loss,,,,,, YIKES,,,, get the cv out :-)

Cheers
Wan :-)

Jb, position size & ease of trading is something that I've had to come to terms with, big time,,,, how often in the AIM stocks you cannot buy when you'd like to and sell when you want/need to,,, which to me, now, I see as a reflection of timing and you are right, somehow we must buy and sell when others are doing the exact opposite to facilitate the trades we wish to make,,,, which by its very definition means selling when others are buying so we miss the peak and buying when others are selling so we miss the trough,,, which is all good in theory, but means we are trying to time things,,, a very difficult skill,,,, as an example, AVCT, I thought, hmm this has run up very fast and I must leave something for the next man, so I sold a large % of my core holding,, only to see it then romp away!!!! LOL, rubbish timing, but I got out what & when I wanted to, on my terms and with a profit,,,, 4D I'm trying the opposite, buying when others are selling as hopefully when it turns I'll have the position size I want, which I'd struggle to build on the rise....... provided it rises :-) LOL LOL,,,, I'm giving all these theories a damn good go to see how they work, both in terms of making money, ignoring the rights & wrongs and most importantly how I react emotionally to the situations,,, I think more and more exposure to these situations is the only way to master this game or crash and burn and move on to other ways of earning a crust,,,, right now, I am still undecided if this is the way forward for me,,,,, but,,, I feel it's too early in my development to really say :-) we shall see,,,,,, thanx again to you and all who have helped me come this far,,,, cheers Wan :-)

Wan just have to trade within your comfort zone on all positions, it’s largely why I don’t stress much but occasionally I get over excited and I shouldn’t. A common theme of many refresher books I’ve been reading is trading should be unemotional.

thanx guys,,, yes, Rb, takes us right back to rule number 1....

1 - Big money is made by sizing up the entire market and its trend.

It has crossed my mind several times that my performance is nothing more than being carried along by the general upturn in the market and consequently when another falls comes along I too will be carried back down with it,,,, irrespective of what companies I hold,,,, then I think, hmm, look how fast it recovered just recently,,, but, then, what if it doesn't do that next time,,, then I think, ok sell up, hold cash and wait,,, then I think,,, wowzer Wan, look at what you'd have lost had you done that on this recent fall and stayed out,,,, and then i think, yeah but, you'd be sat with cash now waiting to buy twice as many shares in the exact same companies on the next fall and then waiting for the following rise,,, then I think, blimey Wan, you might lose everything at this,,, and so on and so on,,,,,,, it's not easy this game and oh what a game it is :-) LOL

Cheers
wan :-)

Brent is going to run up as we start going back to work then correct as the optimism that demand going back to normal fades and producers ramp up production to get in on the higher price. Unless off course everything goes back to normal consumption wise but nothing indicates that.
Buy the spike up sell the peak, I think this will repeat as demand will continue to rise, not to Pre CV19 levels though, and producers will produce more than is necessary every time and bring it down again.
I am keeping out of it largely may buy some more JSE though.

Morning Wan,

Good idea but remember it’s easy for someone with millions to say wait for it to come back when you lose millions or thousands in a stock market slump. As Bumpa warns, in a full on bear market everything goes down, so then it comes to trade/investor psychology, will you be able to stomach the falls, no matter how right your convictions?

Just think on that one, along with position size, ease of trading etc because the old adage if you’re going to panic, panic first will also apply or you could end up getting out underwater at precisely the wrong time too.

4D - they let it run last week and seller took advantage from 60p - again - it would seem. Though it feels like time soon will be to get back in and hold. Watching for next week.

GAN - looked at that sub 90p some time ago. Unfortunately that’s all I did. Would you buy now though? Not sure chasing any stock is a good idea - there’ll always be something else - but well done holders.

I seem to remember you have shares in DDDD WAN . Apologies if not . Great article on current goings on . Especially exciting about oncology treatment progress. Finding some sort of cure for cancer would be life changing for everyone :)

Shares have taken a battering due to a persistent seller. They were once 10 pounds , now only 53p !!

GAN - awesome fozzie, very well done,,, chart looks to be going straight up right now,,,, so, do I buy it now or wait for a dip which might be way higher than here and ignore that break away gap which is on high volume, so that's good,,, and looks way smaller on ADVFN chart and massive on my IG chart!!!! decisions, decisions,,,, I suppose, based upon the solid business case they have, perhaps to scale in now and then buy the dip and the rise is the most sensible option :-) LOL GLA Holders, Cheers Wan :-)

some very reasoned posts today,
@2sp: your post regarding individual companies getting battered is exactly what I think will happen going forward over the next few months rather than the whole market going down...

at the moment not having a red day here is as good as having a blue day ...

not sure if it was here or Wan's thread where i read the quote about not diversifying, along with (i think crazycoops (apologies if it was someone else) posting the link about owned vs employed CEO post) makes me believe even more that AAZ really is the place to be, yes its not exciting in terms of the BOD or brokers screaming or shouting about it *(EDIT: inaccurate as SPA post is quite bullish)* and its already up so much compared to its relatively recent lows, but I still truly believe this is where to park your money!

quite hammered with all the drinking so apologies if the post doesn't make much sense! :))

GG, No question in my mind that Gold will print new US$ ATH's soon and that a multi-year bull run is in progress &, for me, started at $1,050 in 2015 when gold retraced to the 50% level.A decade is correct for me also but, that clock started ticking in 2015, afaiac and so I see 2025 as when that run should hit its peak.Sadly though, that suggests to me that we may be stuck in this sodding virus loop & it's financial impact for a further 4-5 years & that does fill me with dread as the personal impact on many, many millions of people is going to be beyond current comprehension.

GAN finished at $22 today, approx £4.50 per share in old money, shares could have been bought for £1.05 on eve of results just 6 weeks ago. Incredible rerate. Quiet day for me otherwise, been a great week again, how much longer can this keep going for? Have a great weekend all.

Well didn’t foresee royalty streamer ELY going on another rip, astonishing it’s doubled since March. IPT and EXN soaring too. Might lighten up next week.

Meanwhile come back here to see AA. big trades selling off at the finish, reckon that could be the last of Parvus.
