I can't see why the BOD would want to perform a takeover....it doesn't give them an exit unless they sell to Azeri govt at a later stage.
Its frustrating being in 120-140p range and guess we need to continue sitting on our hands-the prospect of a sweet DIV helps 😀

To sum up, AAZ has decided to portray itself as a steady state, dividend payer.
PUR is portraying itself as capable of explosive growth.
Ideally, you want a bit of both, but if you compare one to the other it will only reveal your biases.

o/t, sorry - GF1 When I first looked at PUR, I came to the same conclusion as you but after much more digging, found out they have the land package, management and funding to fully realise it's potential. Only time will tell of course. Been wrong many times....

Hi Wan,I am happy just sitting on my hands at the moment. AVCT doing it's job and PUR also.
I wonder why AMC price is going up !!
AAZ is AAZ it will perhaps be driven by the broker notes or a LOM RNS.
POG has fallen a bit on the worry about this virus.
TSG,is fine at the moment.
As you know BPC is just a small bet.
AVCT, is just unbelievable at the moment.

Sorry to come back to PUR.

Now i looked at these as i have said on many occasions about a month ago.
At that time they said they were fully funded. Last week they took another $15m from private investors, again claiming they are fully funded.
Now today i see they announce that the Company has raised $12.3 million from the exercise of 14,465,000 share purchase warrants with a strike price of $0.85.
Now i don't like a company saying one thing when doing another. Also these shares are at a very good discount, yet the share price goes up 12%.

Thanks to wanobi for opening up this thread. I am taking this literally as a place where we can bring new ideas, tips, suggestions, etc. I've seen that several fellow posters in metals post here, so let me go ahead and suggest something new. PXC, Phoenix Copper. I'm not going to post too much detail, as I would like you to do your own research from published information, which is easily available, and then come to your own opinions. It's a new company, mining for copper, gold, silver, lead etc, in Idaho. Exploration to date shows about $1 billion in the ground, from near surface mines, with very exciting possibilities being looked at from deeper mineralisations. They have a large territory, and are focused on bringing one small area (Red Star) into production for end 2021, capex approx $25 million, which will provide the cash flow to go after the wider resources. They have the cash for the current drilling programme, and are looking to minimise dilution for the construction financing, particularly as the board are all significant shareholders. On their web front page you will find links to recent research from WH Ireland and Hardman. see
With their consultant geologist saying that perhaps only 1% of the mineralistions have been discovered to date, they plan to ramp up from Red Star into Empire Mine (with gold and copper), and then deep. I like the board, and have trust in them. I know from informal conversations (they invite shareholders to open lunches) that they could see the possibility of this becoming a 10 - 20 bagger, I kid you not. Where the share price stands today is unrepresentative of the value this company could give. The core risk issue, in my opinion, is whether the board can take this company into production, and specifically finance the business. I myself have confidence they can do it, and their continuing updates lend credence to that. Anyone interested, read through their literature, watch their videos (there was a most interesting one recently with their CEO in Idaho ), and call to the directors. They post their telephone numbers, and are very receptive to talking with both existing and potential shareholders.
I myself believe that this represents a great opportunity to invest into the future growth of this company, whilst the share price is still at a starter level.
Again, this post is not advice, and please do your own research.

The buys far outstrip the sells today but still in the negative zone. Anybody have a guess as to why?

Well, I completely agree and have been told off before for suggesting the board should issue more RNSs with less in each of them. News needs to be a constant drip. But, on this occasion, if the item of news that the board thinks is imminent is a game changer, you can understand the predicament. The problem is that we think it's been imminent for about 9 months. But one day...and then, it will be too late to either buy or sell.

DP you could be right on note timing but it still seems very poor that neither the bod or the broker see this as an opportunity to market the shares on several occasions ie results day, strategy update, jorc, etc etc momentum is what drives share prices, upwards or downwards!

Can only assume that the brokers notes are waiting for another piece of news to land. The results weren't enough...the dividend wasn't enough...the strategic update wasn't enough...so logic suggests whatever they are waiting for is very significant

As King Suarez has stated, as we generate even more cash and our life of mine expands, our share price should be going up !!....let's be having the broker notes and. we will see....it should look good IMHO.

Gf1The value of the company (EV) is not the equity share value it is the total value of shares/equity plus debt. In your example buy a company for 10/share say 100m shares equals £1Bn. Say the company has also £200m debt So total company EV is £1.2bn of which equity share is worth £1Bn and debt worth £0.2bnAs shareholders of public companies we naturally tend to focus on the equity or share value not the EV as mkt cap is the quoted equity value. You can only get to EV by looking at balance sheet.
