ALTN - RNS - equipment arrives :-)

4D - RNS - stunning financials LOL,,,, but, "we look ahead to a pivotal year for 4D as we reach key readouts from multiple clinical studies." is all I can say :-)

PUR - RNS - The past week has bolstered our balance sheet and added depth to our shareholder base. I'd like to thank our long-term shareholders, including AngloGold Ashanti for maintaining their shareholdings in Pure Gold (at 15%) through the exercise of Warrants.

And I'd also like to thank Eric Sprott for his increased support (12%) and for recognizing not only the value of our near term gold production, but also the explosive value creation that comes from ongoing discoveries and resource growth in one of the highest grade mines in the world." says Darin Labrenz, President and CEO. "Our mine has all the attributes of a company maker - location, grade, size, and transformative growth potential.

The opportunity for value creation is tremendous, with near term cash flow delivered in a rising gold market, and a strong organic growth platform to build out our vision of a long-life growth company. Having only scratched the surface across our 7+ kilometre long high grade gold system, we are taking measures to expedite our growth plan. New funds will be earmarked for aggressive exploration work that will fast track discovery and resource development in a phased approach to realizing the true potential of our scalable PureGold mine."

all good :-) providing Gold Price holds up :-) for a decent length of time :-)

Here's what PUR had to say today. I'm just repeating it because I'm not convinced it is anything different to AAZs announcement of the potential porphyry resource, but look at the tone: CEO. "Our mine has all the attributes of a company maker - location, grade, size, and transformative growth potential. The opportunity for value creation is tremendous, with near term cash flow delivered in a rising gold market, and a strong organic growth platform to build out our vision of a long-life growth company. Thanks for the info.
That is the first time i have ever heard of EV never mind using it to value a company.

I like, little to no debt, making money, paying a divi and the prospect to expand.
Everything we have here.

Regarding sipps and tax, be careful to quote the correct gross amount when claiming your tax back from hmrc to ensure you get the full benefit :-)

Example
A higher rate (40%) tax payer contributing 10k and ABLE to get full relief on said contribution, would have their sipp contribution automatically increased by the sipp provider by 2.5k. When you reduce something by 20% you need to increase it by 25% to get back to the original amount.

The tax payer would then write a letter to hmrc stating they had paid too much tax in the tax year concerned and that had made GROSS contributions of £12.5k at which point hmrc would return £2.5k to the tax payer as cash.

I make my contributions in March as I know how much higher rate/additional rate tax hmrc have and will take for the finacial year. Then anytime after April 6th I send off my letter.

Basically 6k turns into 10k, 25% of which can be taken as a lump sum at retirement as cash. Someone not wishing to pay any tax could simply withdraw the nil rate band (currently 12k I think) per annum from their sipp providing they have no other source of income and suppliment their income using their other assets e.g. cash, isas, sell the house other assets etc. It is possible to pass on pensions to spouses and dependants tax free as well when you no longer need them at death

Tax is personal, therefore this is only an example, it is not advice

This explains what I am trying to say

Should anyone wish to discuss their tax position HL have a free helpline - they may try to sell you advice, however if you say you just want generic information, you do not have to share any personal data and can ask hypothetical tax questions which are infact your personal circumstances for free ;-)

Hope this helps and if anyone wants a copy of a template to claim back hr or ar tax from hmrc I will post one here

Tax and tax on pensions e.g. LTA can and does change

but surely talking of enterprise value, it is again based on market cap, so if you feel the market cap is not accurate then EV does not give you any other insight?

so say when AAZ dropped to 70p recently, the EV was almost half of what it is today. so regardless of whether it takes debt/cash into account, it does not offer you any more information than M Cap? or am I missing something?

Given Hardman's last valuation will obviously be very interesting with what they come up with this time. If they buy into any lom extension and with pog where it is should be well north of 250

Ah UFO, noted sie always a new one to be found, there’s a good few out there if you keep looking long enough.

Sfs I bought it last week, so first go as seemed to be doing a neighbours well when I walked past. He told me the model and I got it online, or rather the missus did. Just have to be careful around grass verge I found, was setting fire to it as it spread between paving and it’s a bit tinder dry so few bushfires were close lol.

Can’t say it burned my driveway though, but paving is antique colour, and kerbs charcoal all the way up so fairly dark anyway.

Yes absolutely they will crash if the markets crash. Maybe not as harshly as they did recently but gold miners will fall with the wider market in the event of crash.
Time and time again that has proven to be the case.

Wan,

Finding pure silver plays is hard, most are silver and gold or another metal, but you can add Silver Mines Limited in Oz to your list.

I’d also include Hecla, Alexco, Buenavantura Mining,Santa Cruz, Prophecy Development, Almaden, Minho Silver, New Pacific Metals, Avino Silver, Silver Bear resources, Discovery Metals, Aurcana, Maya Gold and Silve4, Kootenay Silver and Coeur D’Alene.

There’s more Wan including a few in Oz but they tend to be multiple resource plays.

My next preference after IPT, is probably EXN but I missed it’s recent surge, MAG and Santa Cruz should be highly leveraged too. Silver Mines Limited has a huge resource potential but they will probably be taken out and right now I’m not sure it will be at a premium.
