Gold rush I’ve briefly looked at them but having bumped into S.W at last years AGM I expect he’s going over everything with a fine tooth comb. To be honest, it’s hard not to get rampy with AAZ but even harder for some, to let it play out ;))

Gold price has been like a smouldering forest fire, particularly since September last year. The FED has just been liberally dousing it with kerosene & the temperature is climbing .. spontaneous combustion is not far away now

Gents, I'm sure you're all familiar with ALTN but can they be compared to where AAZ were only a year or two ago?

What I'm saying is, could ALTN replicate the success of AAZ and if so are they not worth a punt?

I think they are, but that's just my opinion...what are your opinions?

The share price has been markedly oscillating around the 2005 high for some time, highlighting its importance. I'm not a chartist but does seem quite reasonable to have had a fair period of 'stickiness' at that level before we continue up. It surely can't be too long now though.

You got it IamBV
Let’s face it, the valuation makes no sense with the current gold price.
Even if POG treads water from here to the end of the year we’d end up with a selling price of at least 1670 for the year.
We sold last year at an average of 1410.
If we then allow a proportional increase in AISC to 636 (from 591) to allow for the lower predicted gold production this year (65koz vs 70koz)we’re going to end up with an extra 14m just because of the gold price.

That’s over 12c a share. For one year. For a slight decline in gold production.

Add in a bit of juicy data about where we go next and £2 should be smashed in short order.
An extra 12c per share. Lovely.

it's clear to me that even as a LTH it's very useful, perhaps essential to those of a nervous disposition,,, to understand and get a feel/sense of how a particular stock behaves/trades around news events.... :-) Cheers Wan :-) GLA

Rb and Wanobi

Have you had time to read Mattjos and bleepy links to Gedabek system and what they think of Stephen's work ? It is hard not to believe that Bleep's £5 price tag could be too low.....no wonder the discussions with the Govt are taking time.....IMHO

Shame for those that got mugged doubting results RNS Wan, sitting on hands, at least the first hour of trading and not reacting should be a lesson for many; well unless Armageddon hits the markets, then if you’re going to panic, panic first lol.

agreed Rb, some excellent work there for sure,,, having listened to those MM video's today I have no doubt those MM's are pricing it based upon the current LOM and will price it very differently when that RNS hits :-) Cheers Wan :-)

That covers most of it IamBV :-)

It's cheap and keeps getting cheaper with every passing day that Gold is up at these levels.

Wait until Gold cracks $1,900 & we've issued some more JORCS and detailed a plan to get cracking on a new mine. Will probably still be cheap even though the price will have risen above £2

From the accounts for the year to 31st December we have a PE = 11.09 and with earnings
growth of 18.08%, the PEG = 0.61. But that is based on the share price at the end of the year, which was about 150p, much higher than that today. Even at that price at that time the share was a fabulous buy!

The current yield is approx. 5.7% at the current share price

We are now almost halfway through this year and the gold price has already risen substantially. It is now rising dramatically and tipped to rise much higher. Clearly the results for the current year could be astounding.

And so we have:
An income share that pays an ever-increasing, well-covered dividend.
A growth share with low PE and low PEG.
A company where a number of its' directors have a lot of skin in the game.
An ever-strengthening balance sheet, with cash reserves rapidly increasing and no debt....... Oh, and loads of more production and exploration possibilities.

Have I missed anything? BV
