I make that cash generation of $11.3m for Q1 then.

$4.8m stated + $5.9m for 90% of the delayed delivery + $0.6m for the extra 10% still due?

Although no mention of tax, I assume this cash flow is net of tax since Q1 2019 operations review mentioned a corporation tax payment in the quarter, indicating this is all 'free cash flow', wow.

Extrapolate that out for a full year suggests an 8p dividend at 25% of FCF, current yield around 6.5%. Could be higher if gold stays above $1,700. Could easily be sat on $50m in the bank still after dividends paid at this rate by year end.

I think there maybe more opportunities with other pharmas. Typically I bought EVY this morning at 8p now going further down lol.

advertised spread in AAZ is still 10p but the actual spread is less than 3p .. why do they do that ?

FWIW I bought some first thing yesterday on a bet at 117.29 and sold them earlier at 129.68. No time for sentiment with bets, you just have to ride whatever the short term momentum dictates

I think that’s pretty accurate lef
Cash is piling up

Yeah spot on cc. I reckon the divi guidance about 25% Of FCF is only applicable as a minimum. In times of much lower metal prices. We’ll see the company increasingly move away from that if things remain as they are

Re price activity, surely it’s been obvious for months that this is a heavily traded share nowadays. Since the newspaper coverage started I guess.

crazycoops, 'sell on the news' would seem to be a Pavlovian response for some. But their sales do let in others for a bargain.

A full and easy to read report, this company does everything to the best standards. At current prices they must be banking close to $1 million a week after all costs. The market cap remains ludicrously low in my view.

kt, You are correct about the dividend policy. However, at the interim stage AAZ paid out at a higher rate than 25% of FCF and therefore, it is difficult to predict the final dividend. We will find out soon enough.lefrene, Now we know that Mr 5k 10k etc are predominantly spread betters, it is clear they are a fickle bunch - sell on news, sell on a dip in PoG etc. I guess we all have a different timeframe and different goals and this is what makes a market.

Wan, let AVCT run its course,at this rate it won't be long before it cracks through £1.0 IMO. Yes this virus was a distraction but who was to know how things would pan out !!

AAZ,sellers !! Where would they invest their money into ?
Debit free with $26 Mil in the bank.
Mine not closed,as some on here were thinking would happen ! Etc,etc.
Just sitting on your hands pays in the long run.

Re: Dividends

Taken from final results last year.

"In accordance
with the Company’s target of distributing
approximately 25 per cent of free cash
flow to shareholders each year."

Hope this helps, KT.

just watching Emma Walmsley, the GlaxoSK CEO, stating that if all goes well they'll be ready to make large scale vaccine by the end of NEXT year... that's a long time away in terms of lock-down, which again reinforces the need for AVCT/CYTIVA test, to me anyhow... we shall see, GLA, Cheers Wan :-)

AVCT - I have no idea where the share price will go from here, but every bit of cv19 news I see calls for mass testing (in the absence of a vaccine) as the only real way out of lock-down and for that a low cost throw away test using saliva seems to me to be the most obvious form it should take,,, healthcare, jo public, anyone can use it etc etc... I may be completely wrong in all this,,, but seems obvious to me that AVCT is in a good space for this,,,, if as pogue correctly pointed out, their test can work... it worked for zika,,, so why not :-),,, who knows, still a punt, good luck all holders, cheers Wan :-)

and yes, this was 100% NOT the reason I invested in AVCT after very kindly being introduced to it by Bumpa,,, indeed, at first I saw cv19 as a distraction from the core goal of the business, to find cancer cures using the bodies own immune system,,, if they can crack that also, then I'd be very pleased.... GLA Cheers Wan :-)

"Sitting on this amount of cash demands a plan."

Keep the sites virus free and don't burn a lot until the threat passes?

Yes, agree with you mf.
Apart from Guvment 'involvement' - remains a pretty opaque picture - methinks
a plan for spending cash will be predicated by exploration endeavours bearing fruit in shape of new mine[s]/extension[s] for development.

Also, the JORC/LOM situation will place the above in context, when that situation is next fully evaluated .

I'm reminded very much of last year. We are in the run up to the AGM now (which probably won't happen physically but who knows). However, we are going to get some proper exploration and strategic news before then. Sitting on this amount of cash demands a plan. I'm sure the board has one, we just need to hear it. The fact that things have been quiet for at least 8 months suggests that there is government involvement on the other side: private companies move much quicker! All supposition.
