Morning all

Bit late as played around on Aussie market. Well done Bumpa.

Wan if you have a moment, no hurry, tell me if you see any gaps on any longer term charts for AA. Mentioned it on Friday and it’s moving fast today but I’m more interested in longer term.

Can't argue with a profit Bumpa, traders all over it, offers am opportunity to sell. Could go down as fast as it's gone up or continue to fly.

Here are my first thoughts on STCM..

I wouldn't call the results 'awful'. There has been a 10% drop in the volume of cement sold in Q1, year on year, which is the weakest quarter of the season. The result is therefore c30k less tonnes sold for the year so far, which is nothing considering the full year sales are usually around 1.7m tonnes.

A drop in sales, albeit minimal, is obviously not positive news, but the summer trading is what is going to have any real impact - hence the prudent looking forward statement which tells us the company expects demand to be lower due to oil price uncertainty and Covid-19.

STCM have managed a 1% sales price increase, at the cost of some market share - presumably they foresee a chance to sell production for higher prices in the summer (we are told the plant is operating at full capacity still) so appears to be a strategic move.

Cannot make any prediction re: the dividend since this will be paid in July - and much of the cash flow for that will be earned in Q2. It is possible principal repayments on the debt may be postponed in order to maintain the dividend. We shall see. I continue to hold at this price/value.

Wan,sorry to hear about STCM. It has not fallen too far. It is PTAL that has taken a hit. I suppose you can't win them all. AVCT is on the move and I can see it will preform like NCYT or better. It all depends on what news they come out with.
All my gold mining shares are performing very well.
I wonder if Pouge sold his AVCT ?
Everyone to their own at times.

Rising fast, yet we are still 25 p under the share price at the start of the trading year! Gold is $200 per ounce higher than the start of the year. Makes total sense that we are rising today, yet no sense from the ytd viewpoint. Roll on Q1 trading update and the FY2019 results.

I still have hope the share price starts with a 2 after the results mid-May. If current gold price is stable through 2020 then we will be about $18 M better off than 2019 in cashflow on our share of the revenues. That will also shine through on the day of the FY2019 results, depending on what pog is on that day cf. $1410 average price received for last year.
