Posted as a courtesy for all ... costs me to access this data. The report is actually gibberish & contradicts itself in first two paragraphs.Unfortunately, as has been proven before, the figures from Trend are hopelessly and increasingly inaccurate. They mix up completely the actual copper contained in the weight of the wet concentrates.Gold figures are muddled with both Azergold's Chovdar mine and AAZ in production together.

Re: the tv show. Of course, it was the dot com era and things were going nuts in the tiddler space. It was such a foolish concept - you see, a stock was traded by those watching it for no more than a few hours, yet the merits of the long term investment would be discussed by a panel and on that basis a 'tip' would be selected. Invariably the tip doubled in minutes, then came back to the pre-tip price a day later. Eventually all went bust once the dot com boom subsided.

As for shorts, Levi is hopeless - does not have the faintest idea how a stock is valued or the workings of the ,market. No education and no skill of any sort, other than fooling mugs.

Cawkwell I know and used to speak with regularly a few years ago - he has always had a good eye for shorts - though much of what he did in recent years was from the same page as Lucien Miers, who himself has a decent understanding of balance sheet weaknesses.

interesting Rb, I don't think so, but I have found his website ….

I do like this;

However, I am delighted to train relatively inexperienced investors with, say, upwards of £200,000 to invest. Here I assist in portfolio construction and the means to achieve this. In the long run it saves a great deal of money. Please telephone me on 020 7835 0868 or contact me by email.

I might just do that & ask him what he thinks of my investments :-)

cheers
Wan :-)

Cawky is still around Rb, i rate Waseem Shakoor too on that score, he's a smart guy, takes a lot of stick but is nearly always right.

Wan, is his old mate Simon Cawkwell still in with him on the subscription? Only ask because if it’s bear cases you want, Cawky was far better at reading balance sheets for flaws than picking bull cases.

AAZ - indeed, but by the looks of the volume today most of his disciples are LTH's in AAZ :-) LOL :-)

I myself am signed up with him, but, like Bumpa, I'm there to learn of bad situations rather than his bull cases :-) which I find a very useful check before doing too much research :-)

I have read his note today & agree with Bumpa, he's just advising people to take profits, with nothing negative behind it.... I'd be the first to take note if he had raised any concerns :-)

If I was running a subscription business making money advising people where to invest and where not to invest I'd be sure to advise people to take good profits so they can bank real cash and keep following me.... there is always the fall-back position of saying 'its never a mistake to take profits'... it may have been the wrong decision at the time, but hindsight is a wonderful thing and you my follower have real cash in the bank :-), just not as much as you would have had had you held :-)

Cheers
Wan :-)

Tried it myself sportbilly, but think I lost overall. The ones who made a mint were those who knew what was due to be tipped!

bozzy,

I remember the programme - if you were quick you could make a few ££ each day simply by being quick fingered on the trade screen

Sorry O/T - regarding T1ps, Shareprophets and TW. I'll only make 1 post on this subject, then it's back to our little gem of a company.

There must be a reason TW gets hammered on these BBs every time his name pops up. He has a decent history of highlighting and investigating frauds / scams / too-good-to-be-true plcs - along with various other commentators like Daniel Levi and Simon Cawkwell.

His record for picking winners isn't as good. As yasX mentions, he seems to have picked dozens of AIM duds over the years. Possibly plays to his own book?

Does anyone remember the Channel 4 lunchtime program "Show me the money"? I always used to watch it in my lunch break. Teams of share traders had an imaginary £100k to play on the stock market. TW would pick a microcap share most days. It'd spike by 30, 50, 100, 150 percent in a couple of minutes after his tip. Most were rubbish long-term.

But there was a leak from somewhere. Can't remember which company it was, but it was posted on its ADVFN BB that it'd be TW's tip of the day. He used to pull a supposedly 'random' name from a hat. How did that information get out?

Anyway, he did tip a winner with AAZ. And the types who trade smallcaps via tip sheets would probably be happy to take their 20 or 30 percent profit after a couple of months. Well done to them, and good luck finding something as good in the long run!

AAZ's share price performance:

2016: +300.00%

2017: +33.33%

2018: +181.25%

2019 to date: +5.55%
