I doubt many of TWs followers hold AAZ and if they do they will know more about it than him. I don't totally dismiss him: his opinions can be good on accounting matters and BB favourites, but AAZ is a straightforward company and there are no accounting smoke and mirrors here

Looks like someone has taken Tom Winnifirith and Steve Moore's advice.
With 3.18P yet to collect in a few weeks, leaving it for the new buyer to collect it!!

Oakey1,

I recently just transferred an old work pension with L&G into a SIPP (AJ Bell).

It was all relatively straight forward - they give you a form to complete. I requested a cash transfer so they sold my units in the L&G Managed Pension fund and transferred the cash value - took about 2 weeks.

I spent some of the cash on more AAZ shares at 86p - so that portion is doing well :)

The L&G Managed Fund had averaged around 7% annual return since 2006, which is about the average stock market return I believe? Not bad, but I wanted to see if I can do better.

he has no knowledge of this company whatsoever and just churns out tripe for subscriptions. his style better suited to the 0.01p stocks.
Don't believe any here will follow his advice but, more fool them if they do.

Looking forward to the data from ALS:

& the FAMOS interpretation of Ordubad samples

Winnefroth does get some stick and rightly so, he talks his own book up and down.., so he's clearly sold some on the chart..

#yasX... T1ps as I recall, Winnefroth couldn't locate a pint in a tap room .. :o)

The company gets stronger every day, $25M per quarter revenues, regardless of the technical signals..

Gaps get filled, and then we will move up.. again..

oakey1,

You can transfer money (or the shares, I think, need to check) into a SIPP.

I also use HL, not the cheapest, but I find them helpful. As wan says, give them a call and the questions.

Just in case if someone does not know what JORC figures are.

This code was developed in Australia. The drilled cores from the mine are sent to a registered LAB where all the drilled cores are analyzed for their metal content and a certificate is issued to the mine owners with the metal content numbers.
That is the JORC certificate.
In the past some mine owners would falsify there drilled results. That is why this code was introduced.
I hope this helps.

Good morning all.
Wan,don't forget the shareholders in AAZ are approx. 60%PI's and 40% the BOD.
There is no II investor yet. Fear and greed control the share price here in AAZ at the moment.
True value will shine in time as more JORC figures come out. That is what will start to add value to the share price here. The mine life with the current JORC figures is around 5/6 years. Drilling results will add value and AAZ will extend the mine life over 10/15 years. The drilling is the key.AIMHO.
Have a good day all.

FCA protection is £85K per account holder per banking institution on settled transactions, cash and equities, BUT only £50K on any deals that are pending settlement or 'in flight', T+2 is the norm for settlement on cleared funds or shares with BARC, other insti's may be different..

Onward and upward here and another week awaits.. :o)

I'm no pensions advisor, but I say not, you should be able to transfer it to a SIPP where you have control over what you invest it in,,, I have a SIPP with HL who I am sure are probably NOT the best, but right now that's what I'm using to invest in all the AIM stocks... give them a call and ask them, they'll most certainly help as they're always looking for more cash :-) cheers Wan :-)

I think the 85k is for money in banks and building societies. I think for money held in stocks and shares with brokerage firms it is only 55k . Someone please correct me if im wrong.

Good morning all, some great posts over the weekend, thanx :-)

Just to summarize some of the 'Fag packet' numbers we threw around (I tweaked a little also):-

Behre Dolbear believes that overall 10 million tonnes of copper and 45 million ounces of gold could possibly be discovered on AAZ properties.

10 million tonnes of copper at 6000 USD/tonne = $60,000,000,000
45 million ounces at 1250 USD/OZ = $56,250,000,000

Total in the ground valuation = 116,250,000,000 USD

Current Market Cap GBP109,242,450
Shares in issue 114,390,000
Current share price 95.50p
& based on £1 = $1.27

1) MJ, mkt values at 1% of what maybe in the ground
(116,250,000,000/1.27)*1% = 1,830,708,661 / 114,390,000 = £8/share

2) Wan's KISS number :-)
(116,250,000,000/1.27)/114,390,000 = £800/share

3) Wan's KISS number / 2 to account very crudely for all in cost of production averages at $600 (yes, I know its a nonsense for the copper portion) = £400/share

4) KS, AAZ already have a resource of c1 million ounces of gold to JORC standard - so ask yourself why it is not (yet) valued at 1,000,000 x $650 x 0.78 = c£500m or £4.40 a share.....

As highlighted by cmb, KS & jas, my numbers are a nonsense when it comes to the world of accountants and also the irrationality of the market and so on....

The point is, by whatever metric you look at this, to me, the chance of the share price rising here as opposed to falling (black swan events excluded) in the long term are high and the operational risk to get that to happen (provided the BD numbers prove up) seem small :-)

GLA
Cheers
Wan :-)

disclaimer - I am a novice at this, I am not an accountant, I am not experienced in investments, I know nothing about mining company valuations, I just say things as I see them and I am very happy for anyone to suggest what I say here is complete rubbish provided they tell me why :-) LOL GLA
