These shares are surely still cheap regardless of what new assets they might acquire.A few chunky trades have gone through today. Im hoping for a solid POG in the near term, with good production figures mid/august. If we get some news to do with the government instructions to azergold which might help here then that would be a welcome bonus .

I did not attend the AGM so have to go on what has been released in RNS. I would not be suprised if AAZ are interested in assets in the company they operate but I would not buy shares on the speculation they will operate Chovdar.

That said they already have a good asset with scope for expansion.

zhockey .. the BOD made it very clear at the AGM their level of interest in Chovdar and the other assets.
They knew full well this question would come up and answered in a detailed way, both:

- The interest they have expressed to date
- The broad circumstances which would encourage them to take it on

To say they are uninterested in untrue.

None of this is any sort of guarantee, I think we all clearly understand that but, AAZ's position in-country & their level of commitment and expertise is second to none in Azerbaijan.

I would be quite surprised if they were not to play some significant part in the development of the ex-AIMROC assets at some future point.
First priority though is to 'cleanly' return them to AZERGOLD and that process is arms-length, transparent & does not attract any media or other criticism.
Once that has happened, in the next few weeks then, it will get very interesting.

Not trading, I have the same number of shares I had in 2010.

It seems common sense is met with scepticism which is rather worrying. If these drop to 12p I won't be panic selling but I'm sure some will.

Thanks homebrewruss I did not know III shows trades, now I do. I like the new beta website.
I took another 10k at 17.62 this morning and 10k at 17p. Ready to grab another 20k at 16.
For those talking about Chovdar I don't think it is of intrest to AAZ.
If I get time this weekend I will explain why I have been a net buyer since Mar and why this is the best company to play the $1450 FY16 gold target.

If anyone is holding here on the expectation of Chovdar news, that is a very risky game. AAZ have said nothing on this and it's pure speculation.

jeanesy ... we are not yet at the 2 month period stipulated by the president for AZERGOLD to come up with a valuation & purchasing proposal for the government to consider.
That timeframe elapses end July

It looks good to me aswell gold is trading within the 2 prices I mentioned, upside is $1450 if we break upwards. If support goes at$1305 I see $1260 maybe before we build again. Obviously with the pog already hitting well above $1340 the upside looks to be the direction IMO. Just my thoughts and believe me I'm still learning here as gold has never been my thing until I invested here a wee while back. GLA

IMO gold needs to stay above $1305. Uptrend continues if we can close nicely above $1340. Next few days this should play out. Also silver is erratic at the moment. GLA
