2 weeks until April figures are released.

I think they will need to be back up to 5500oz if the FY target (75,000oz) can be taken seriously.

Look at debt reduction and new equipment bought q1 may give an insight into cash flow available. Not an expert but hard cash is coming into the company. Certainly not running on fumes here anymore. GLA

Jbravo, assuming the news you hope for will involve an increase in production, how do you suppose this would be funded?

Patience jbe, patience. I don't think there will be significant news that quickly but I'm sure some will arrive shortly. I reckon before the AGM is more realistic.

I would buy more at 6p, not hoping for it but I would not be surprised. Will be an interesting month.

Real offer is 7.7.

Looks like everyone is calling for a correction in gold, if it happens how low will AAZ go? 6p would be a 50% retracement of the up move.

Cheap to buy at 8p, Matt.

come on MM's ... offer it 7.5 please. you are not making a market at all a 10% spread. If folk really don't want them then, give us a decent offer

Am very happy with the way things are looking here, now if AAZ could just produce some good news before the presentation in London and generate significant buying...

Nice to see a move up on better volume. Looks like resourceful sold out. Lets hope that gold can at least hold current levels and we get good production figures in about 10 days time.

Take a look at the bar chart rather than the line chart Matt. Clear breakout. :o)

Or, translated to the practical, the first time the mid price breached 8p intraday for 12 months or more and/or the highest amount paid to buy stock in 12 months or more. Investors are now prepared to pay more for it than they have for the last 12 months and based on production and precious metal prices, and in relation to other stocks in it's sector, that's no surprise.

ECB will now stop printing the €500 bank note. Another reason why folk will look to hold gold

not quite broken out, given the small sell in the closing auction to hold it back but, highest close for a year otherwise.

You echo my thoughts Matt. I fear a pullback in gold but if that doesnt happen then onwards and upwards!

In the time that Gold has put on $200/oz from Jan this year, AAZ has gained 100% in mkt cap.
Given the leverage on the balance sheet, I do not believe it will require a further $200 gain in Gold to see the mkt cap double again.
Over $1,300/ oz and the debt will start to fall away faster & faster this year.

The price is still only slowly & quite tardily reacting to the rise in gold which suggests to me that the current price has no speculative element in it whatsoever.

I still see circa 30p per share as fair value / EV given current metrics. Single figure share price remains daft
