20/10/2015 10:16 | Yes I suspect it's small-time T+ traders selling out at break even or a loss, after buying on the news of Bashirov's exit. The share is very illiquid, so small sells get it marked down. I don't see any of the large holders being too worried. As long as gold stays at these levels or thereabouts, we should be able to start paying down debt from this quarter forwards... that will be the key to a re rating IMO...GLA NAI | cyberbub
20/10/2015 10:09 | MMs will be ruthless marking it down on little volume if there are no buyers, if it keeps going there will be buyers returning. If Gold jumps up again buyers will return beforehand | jbe81
20/10/2015 10:03 | Sellers, below bid now, desperate! | bsg
20/10/2015 08:23 | There is an interesting comparator in SHG which has just reported Q3 production today. Virtually identical production and net debt figures to AAZ. The difference is of course that their production cost and AISC are much lower. However they are also valued about 5x AAZ'S market cap.Any comments? | cyberbub
19/10/2015 13:14 | Thanks Brasso ... will do this eve | mattjos
19/10/2015 07:29 | Don't forget that the q3 figures last week showed that the company did pay down some of the external bank debt, which is sensible. They increased their drawdown of Reza's loan, and I suspect that he will probably extend the term when it falls due.DYOR | cyberbub
18/10/2015 10:59 | Matt I have sent you an e mail with the updated chart. | brasso3
15/10/2015 07:35 | Matt I will not be back home until sunday so will e mail it to you then. | brasso3
15/10/2015 07:34 | Thanks cyberbub. I would have thought that once a header was in place on a thread then news items would be automatically updated, but it's clearly not the case. When I read yesterday's update last night I was surprised to see the share price had gone down during the day. | doodlebug4
15/10/2015 07:05 | Doodlebug this happens sometimes with Advfn, I have seen it on various shares, no idea why. | cyberbub
14/10/2015 23:32 | Brasso .. will you update your graph please and send me revised link for the header? | mattjos
14/10/2015 22:45 | I've just been doing some research on this share and does anyone know why today's RNS hasn't been listed at the top of the page underneath the long term chart? Is it a problem with the ADVFN RNS listings? I wouldn't have known anything about the update today if I hadn't had a look at the Investor section on the AAZ website! | doodlebug4
14/10/2015 21:49 | $1190 - $736 = $454 per oz :) | brasso3
14/10/2015 18:59 | Yes, NAV is way way higher, you are correct. I've posted about this before.US$ about to post a death cross on the charts .. Gold just now breaking above the 200DMA.The FED is completely & totally boxed in just now .. They have got to keep talking down the $ a lot lower before they dare raise rates. Figures out of USA economy looking worse every month & we still have to China data to hit the tapes next week.If this is a recovery, I'm a chinaman! | mattjos
14/10/2015 18:55 | Gold is flying | jbe81
14/10/2015 18:51 | Or ludicrous pumping like on MOS, luminoso. ..AAZ is very tightly held, so a few small sells can take it down sharply... The converse is also true of course!Gold moving further north... $1250 in the next few weeks would be really good for a leveraged producer like AAZ... touch wood...Re-looking at the last accounts and completely ignoring the intangible assets, the net asset value (including our debts) is still something like £40M... or 5-6x the current market cap... have I worked that out right?NAI | cyberbub
14/10/2015 18:23 | Well, I'm still here. It's not unusual for a stock to fall immediately after I buy in, so no surprise there. It's the way of the markets these days to sell good news as well as bad news. It has to be stonkingly good news to avoid that fate. | luminoso
14/10/2015 16:50 | aaz often goes down on the day of news, only to rise a couple of days later, things are looking good, and gold testing 1180 now, should be over 1200 next week. If it goes further AAZ will multibag in a very short period of time. | jbe81
14/10/2015 16:43 | Disappointing finish - just a bit more patience needed IMO... | cyberbub
14/10/2015 16:05 | It would seem to me that they are not trying to get maximum production but the most economical production now. They are doing this by using ore from the different locations and the four different production methods. It will not be long before overall production costs are below $700 per ounce IMO. | brasso3
14/10/2015 15:56 | Gadir looking good as well now and worth a mention. -- 6,944 tonnes of ore with average gold content of 8.69 grammes per tonne from the Gadir underground mine was processed by the agitation leach plant in Q3 2015. I make that 60 Kg during Q3 which is around 1900 troy ounces. | brasso3
14/10/2015 13:35 | Only cantor at 6.75, ready for a move up once traders have finished and buyers move in | jbe81
14/10/2015 12:57 | Mattjos, Thanks for the reply. Appreciate it is unknown but if the 5k could be produced without affecting normal production then debt can be repaid very quickly next year. I think we need confirmation of October output before we'll be able to see the potential. Will look to add on any weakness. GLA | jaspoland
14/10/2015 12:43 | The company say they are confident of hitting the FY production target of 70-75koz That would require a minimum Q4 production of 15,897oz during what the CEO is flagging up as their historically strongest quarter. They appear to be well on the way to ending the year as they have forecast so, another box that should get ticked as their forecasting accuracy improves. The flotation is designed to increase the Gold extraction rate from the current 75%. At some point, once the circuit is proven and working satisfactorily they will start the crushers and begin to add in the waiting high sulphide ore. Whether that can be done in parallel with the plant processing the agitation tailings, I don't think we know. | mattjos |
