04/6/2020 11:36 | seems to be a lot of messing around with the price at DDDD right now | donald pond
04/6/2020 11:33 | Just took me 10 minutes to get 15k 4D...! | bumpa33
04/6/2020 11:33 | Winston not getting your logic if the AVCT issue was massively oversubscribed why will the price drop to £1.20? | pogue
04/6/2020 11:24 | There is always risk, but Morocco is probably the safest jurisdiction in Africa (though Botswana is also good). But you and I invest in pharma stocks and there is always the risk with those that somebody is doing the same as AVCT, or DDDD or PYC, that we are not aware of, and they may be further advanced. Or that progress will suddenly be staled: for every successful trial there are many failures. Every sector has its own risks. | donald pond
04/6/2020 11:21 | Stig, I wasn't invested in SXX but got involved towards the end in an advisory role. It was hard to believe what happened there: meetings at local schools and churches selling the story that there would be jobs for generations if people invested. It ended up with 85,000 PIs, most of them local to the north-west. | donald pond
04/6/2020 11:19 | Here you go ex CSFB Investment Banker headed up SXX "I'm digging the biggest hole in Yorkshire" Hubris The SXX bull case was hey no Foreign expropriation'regula So what is your Country risk with Morocco ? You never know when they might have a change of Government or the cabals within Government decide to get involved. There is always risk. | the stigologist
04/6/2020 11:16 | If ii's are only going to get 1 in 5 asked for, here's hoping the price will eventually get down near the £1.20 mark before resuming it's upward trajectory | winston66
04/6/2020 11:15 | Hang on EML run by an Investment Banker Wasn't SXX run by an Investment Banker Remind me how that worked out ? | the stigologist
04/6/2020 11:10 | Wonder how many went short AVCT thinking they’d get their allocations... | bumpa33
04/6/2020 11:08 | especially if it was my gf, they’d all be asking for refunds.... | bumpa33
04/6/2020 11:08 | lol! I think the interesting thing about EML is that the CEO Hayden Locke is an investment banker rather than a miner. His core skill is getting bang for his buck with minimum dilution: after all, his walkaway will be how much his options are worth. Everyone agrees that many AIM CEOs have the wool pulled over their eyes by brokers. That won't happen with EML, so although a placing is possible I strongly suspect HL is desperate to get the share price up markedly first. | donald pond
04/6/2020 11:05 | I think I’m missing the correlation between raising some cash and pimping the wife out...?! | bumpa33
04/6/2020 10:59 | that's like saying "my wife is fit but she ain't getting younger so I'm going to pimp her out". Only a sicko would think like that. BTW nasty oil spill in Siberia, Norilsk to blame, anyone still own? | donald pond
04/6/2020 10:58 | Come on DD, at least put forward an argument and give us some fun | baddeal
04/6/2020 10:54 | Part of my reasoning on EML - I know they say they’ve got enough cash through to 2021 but to me, £1m in the bank, in these times, with every other so ‘n so promoting and raising - and them having to secure non-dilutive finding for a big project - with just a million sitting in the coffers? That just doesn’t add up. Raise while the going is good, do it at a small discount if possible, keep shareholders happy/onside, get the cash in your coffers and give yourself breathing space. Seems obvious, but then I’m not a CEO :) | bumpa33
04/6/2020 10:47 | think we’ll be lucky to see 50% scale back, more likely 75% Pogue - I’m almost permanently bearish ! but also adhere to the TINA - causes quite a dichotomy in my thinking :) | bumpa33
04/6/2020 10:44 | SHI (like AA.) finding it hard to gain traction whilst trading on low volumes, struggling to break past 30p, was so close to be stopped out suppose it’s good just to see it still trying to trend up. | riggerbeautz
04/6/2020 10:41 | Bumpa anything I hear from professional investors, fund managers etc when they are being interviewed or giving presentations it seems that sitting on cash and waiting is the way to go so I guess its the latter of your points and they need to use PIs to pick up the slack. That ties in with my thoughts that I should be scaling out of the stock market just now not ramping into it. I have sold a few shares the last week or two but have increased positions on others and even bought two new ones! I need to start hoarding cash I feel and take profits, I am feeling bearish again. Re AVCT placing I am amazed it took them so long to close I saw it as a gift especially since the price is now over £1.40, ORPH placing was done in less than an hour. Maybe a lot of scaling back is going to happen. | pogue
04/6/2020 10:36 | Have the MM's gone off script? Gold creeps up a little and the share price creeps up a little. | lefrene
04/6/2020 10:31 | that didnt last long then...? PI's want to get involved as they see II's getting stock on the cheap (even cheaper when they can sell down in advance to cover costs) and also PR/Brokers see it as a way to guarantee the slack being taken up | sportbilly1976
04/6/2020 10:24 | Have a day off will you | stepaside
04/6/2020 10:17 | PB now closed on the AVCT offer. | bumpa33 |
