There's some complete dross on the market that's flying due to everyone chasing the covid boost, or trying to catch the companies that will prosper in the 'new world position' when things go back to some semblance of normality. Some investors and traders have had some amazing returns and are looking for the next stock to zoom, which is no doubt causing some of the very inflated valuations at the moment. Unfortunately that doesn't seem to include stocks that are actually doing well, making decent, but stable, returns.

Value should eventually work it's way through when it becomes clear which companies are actually going to emerge from this in a decent shape and which will be in terminal decline, but it'll take a while.

I was originally against the share buy back idea but if we are not bringing new production on until 2022 then it makes more sense to consider this.

If we on this board - presumably big fans of the company - are feeling this way, no wonder there's such little interest out there. Brokers notes seem to have vanished - we are all speculating positive reason, but even if this were the case, you shouldn't promise something and then not deliver.

Bill was clearly aware of shareholders frustration and specifically said there would be 2 brokers notes. Along with others I thought they were due last week but it's not happened yet. But clearly they must be close and waiting for some news that triggers their release. But it's frustrating for sure

M/F, POG results did not look bad at all,70% increase in gold production yet the share price is down. It can only be the worry about covid-19 !! New mines feedstock will get fed in later on and I can see the production rocket. I may do a top up yet.

Doc60 nothing changes at AMC !

The last presentation came across as AAZ lacking ambition IMO. Its hard to see a path to 200p now in the next 12 months unless gold hits $2000/oz. There is obviously something going on behind the scenes but other gold stocks are flying while this goes on. Very frustrating and if it was not for the dividend I would have sold out.

AA - Looks likely to break that trend. Worth a punt.
Volume picking up.

It's not attractive to see a declining share price every day and limited interest by the BOD. I am firmly of the view that being part of this 'club' as Bill puts it is a good thing, but then again I'm a fan of the 'story'. New investors won't be swayed by the current behaviour, imo. It's very sad, really.

For the reasons you mention, it's a long stretch to hope for a bow wave of new, income seeking investors here.
Would expect at least a few though; largely those who are seeking new holds for a diversified income portfolio.
Like, if you didn't own any AAZ, wouldn't it look attractive for a modest % of one's portfolio?

Been tucking into AA. reckon it’s going to be a gradual rise now, not sitting on the sidel8nes any longer. Now got a decent chunk around 24p.

#Doc_oj, hunting yields has become more difficult at Q1 with some notable casualties, and Q2 results are going to be worse for sure on profits and their corresponding dividends, the sustainable increasing dividend payout here is getting more attractive as the share price weakens, but if you can get 6/7% from a UK blue chip in telecoms or utilities, or 5% from a Gold digger in Azerbaijan with only a short license to operate and a reviewable PSA potentially impacting profits over time it becomes more to think about when adding..

But the advantage of not having a road map to mid tier is we will not be needing to spend hundreds of Millions on new plant, so cash can quietly build, dividend cover increases and payouts can grow.. :o)
