MAD FOETUS, share price Angel Will have no influence on the trading spread. That is up to the market makers, We have about 50.000.000 trading shares. With the low numbers the price can move eider way very fast....therefore MM,s will protect themselves by having a big spread and insuring they can turn any shares they buy in to a profit sell.
They are there to make the market and make money....they will not be giving us any fevers...
You Just have to pick the right moment to buy or sell.
SPAngel do not have a trading desk, they used to have one at Fairfax, that is some years back....

Does anyone know why this happens.
We have had buyers happy to pay almost the ask price, Then we get a few sellers and they drop the price.

I would love to know who are selling at these stupid prices as we are in a bull gold market. There are more stupid people out there than i thought.

We all know you can buy or sell inside the spread.
But anyone looking to buy must see the spread and think,no thanks, i will go buy X or Z share, their spread means if it goes up today i will be in profit. Not like here when you could have a good day after you fist bought in,yet still be losing money.
Its no wonder we have such low volume every day.
I see we have gone back to a 10p spread yet again.

Very disappointing. What are share price Angel doing? Spread is stupid. Anyone who bought in earlier could be 10% down on minimal trades.

CFEQ who used to be the most competitive MM (often had a 5p or 7p spread) have become the least competitive.
They moved to the NMS of 7500 a few weeks ago (everyone else still showing to quote 10k) and have today moved to showing a 15p spread
If the trend continues it’ll make it harder still to trade in and out

Wan, I’ve just spent 15 minutes on the phone re: 4D - the two mm’s with the form are Singers and Berenberg. I tried to get stock at the middle, a little difficult anyway as the bid/offer kept changing. Singers weren’t interested at all and are bidding, Berenberg only slightly more so - ended up with some at 55.5 but it wasn’t easy, so maybe/maybe not.

I've been following your charting escapades for ages wan and they do seem to be good indicators....I still can't get my head round how a chart can predict future share price movements but it does appear to work in a lot of cases....for instance imagine I own 20% off AAZ and the chart looks good....how does the chart take into account that I could be caught shagging the cleaner by my wife and have to pay her in the divorce settlement and also pay off the cleaner in child support thereby making me dump 20% of AAZ in the market on a random day???.....I don't have a wife or a cleaner btw

Re TSG share price up 12%. NR read well . My gut says there should be some more mileage in it but I don't have the skills to relate to the drilling results.

Jbe FDBK moving along nicely, it’s been allowing me to trade in and out batches of 250k for a couple of weeks now, just enough interest to keep things ticking over on the bid/ask.
