Trump said yesterday he did not like what Powell & the FED were doing with rates, rising too fast & too high ... da-da-da!! today Dow sinks 800 points and many other indexes falling through critical MA's.

Trump is setting Powell up as the Patsy, imo ... if he wants rid of Powell then, might expect the sell-off to continue.

Dangerous game & might backfire on all the players.

Thank you Nikki40. I had hoped 'robo-cop' would have responded with some sort of conciliatory message. In essence, it would appear that I have been credited with the dividend, which as I am heavily into spreadbet has bailed me out. Prefer not to be relegated on arrival to the Wanabi Board.

as horrible as it may sound ... this is something what many of us here have been anticipating for quite some time.
Yes, there will be a sell off but,this time around do not expect there to be much delay before th rush to gold gathers steam. The memories of 2007/8 are still too fresh.
Poland & Egypt two new nation states buying gold for first time in a long time ..this is on top of China, Kazakhstan, Russia and a few others who have done nothing but buy gold every month since the last crisis.
Others will soon follow if this recent Dow peak transpires to have been a big double top to the markets.

China now back from their last week holidays, Dow tanking ... Gold will rise from here, imo
could be a thousand pointer on the dow tonight :-)

An interim dividend of US$0.03 per share will be paid gross in respect of the year ending 31 December 2018 to shareholders on 8 November 2018 that are on the shareholders record at the record date of 12 October 2018. The shares will go ex-dividend on 11 October 2018. All dividends will be paid gross and in cash. A scrip dividend or any other dividend reinvestment plan will not be offered by the Company.

The dividend will be payable in pounds sterling. The dividend will be converted to pounds sterling using the average of the sterling closing mid-price using the exchange rate published by the Bank of England at 4pm each day from the 15 to 19 October 2018.

Firstly, sincere apologies. Don't be so hard on me. I am new to this. The dividend miraculously shows as a credit on my ' trade funds available' Statement. Thus, the lightening of my mood that presumably I will not have to fund my account tomorrow after today's considerable drop in share price. With your experience, no doubt you can put me right on this.

Gold seems steady and AAZ produces it at better than half market price, twice the amount of gold for your money :¬), and the people in charge of the piggy bank are out there looking for even more of it! Is this just a blip or will we see a general rush to safety?

That takes a bit of pain away...

Gold held steady today at $1190, Our production may even be up.
Let the market play with our valuation, in the end money in the bank will do the talking.

If this is people selling to avoid dividend tax and being noticed then I would expect the reversal tomorrow.
