10/10/2018 14:08 | A reasonable supposition Wanobi; not one you deserved a mark-down for. My own take is that the newsflow will be very supportive over the coming months, metals prices maybe excepted. Even if Q3 does disappoint some, the general thrust going forward looks like increased Gold-Equivalent production at sub $600 AISC enabled by [since June] dual process streams [AL->SART gold and Flotation for concentrate] with both recent Gadir and main pit developments feeding this. + Critically resource/mine-life expansion for which Gadir JORC will only be first of series. + possible new resource prospects revealed by Heliborne survey & other exploration. | 2sporrans
10/10/2018 13:56 | Surprised to see it drop as much before dividend date. Easy money chaps.. 👍 | ilostthelot
10/10/2018 13:50 | Well done those that snaffled up at 68p. Mean't to place a limit buy for that but preoccupied. | 2sporrans
10/10/2018 13:46 | Just as an example of how convoluted the tax regime is: B. rate tax on divi. 7.5% , HR Tax 32%. Except if the dividend comes from property investment - includes Commercial Property - where the BR Tax is 20% and the HRT 40%....i think, though not certain about latter. | 2sporrans
10/10/2018 13:39 | Seems like basher's mate is going to have to fight to keep his golf course | jbravo2
10/10/2018 12:49 | Thanks KS. That's essentially where I'm at as well. Seems a very hard one to judge and potentially too risky for that reason. The current cash flow is very impressive though | cflather2000
10/10/2018 12:42 | I can only reason that some think AAZ is ahead of itself right now and that it will fall should Q3 not be as good as some expect? cheers Wan | wanobi
10/10/2018 12:29 | If people can squeeze in the 7.5% tax bracket the divs here make easy income.... | terropol
10/10/2018 12:29 | Do people not understand that we have a Q3 update due any day and it looks like it could be a very good one again. I know people think its a good idea to sell just before the ex divi tomorrow, but why,yes it might drop the full divi or it might not, But you are going to get that money tax free if you hold anyway. Then what if the update comes at the same time or an hour latter. Madness in my opinion. | footloose2
10/10/2018 12:24 | Great minds think alike Matt. | terropol
10/10/2018 12:15 | Just managed to get another 4186 at a bargain 67.95p Thank you to those that are daft enough to sell today. | footloose2
10/10/2018 12:14 | added at 68p | mattjos
10/10/2018 12:05 | Mr. Trump stated not happy with the FED increasing the rates to fast... | terropol
10/10/2018 11:45 | If anybody thinks they might have missed the party then today looks as good an opportunity as you are likely to get with the divi included. | lefrene
10/10/2018 11:35 | Income Tax rates and bands The table shows the tax rates you pay in each band if you have a standard Personal Allowance of £11,850. Income tax bands are different if you live in Scotland. Band Taxable income Tax rate Personal Allowance Up to £11,850 0% Basic rate £11,851 to £46,350 20% Higher rate £46,351 to £150,000 40% Additional rate over £150,000 45% You can also see the rates and bands without the Personal Allowance. You don’t get a Personal Allowance on taxable income over £123,700. | terropol
10/10/2018 11:29 | I agree terropol, the rules are always changing. Lets see what changes in the Autumn budget in Nov. | celeritas
10/10/2018 11:28 | ou may get a dividend payment if you own shares in a company. You only have to pay tax if your dividends go above your dividend allowance in the tax year. The rules are different for dividends before 6 April 2016. Tax year Dividend allowance 6 April 2018 to 5 April 2019 £2,000 6 April 2017 to 5 April 2018 £5,000 6 April 2016 to 5 April 2017 £5,000 Above this allowance the tax you pay depends on which Income Tax band you’re in. Add your income from dividends to your other taxable income when working this out. You may pay tax at more than one rate. Tax band Tax rate on dividends over your allowance Basic rate 7.5% Higher rate 32.5% Additional rate 38.1% HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has examples of how your tax is worked out if you’re over the dividend allowance. You don’t pay tax on dividends from shares in an ISA. | terropol
10/10/2018 11:05 | Will have a good look in to that CELERITAS...looks every body keeps changing the rules... Just to try and confuse us.... | terropol
10/10/2018 10:49 | I have also looked at RRE. Positives are that they are extremely undervalued on a production and cash flow basis. Also cash in bank and no debt. Negatives is that the life of the assets they have purchased appears short, and there are large decommissioning costs associated, which I have no idea how to accurately asses. If oil stays high and they can extend the life of the production they have purchased then they could be a very good bet, but if oil has a sustained low near term, and/or the fields do not produce as anticipated (i.e decline sharply prematurely) then they could get caught out having to pay big decommissioning costs at a time when they do not have sufficient cash flows to cover this. Not much of an insight, sorry, just my initial thoughts. I have been tempted, but I find it hard to properly determine the risks. | king suarez
10/10/2018 10:43 | Wan and all,Just heard of RRE. Any insights welcome.Board mainly came from IGas, which was pretty shocking for investors. RRE too good to be true? | cflather2000
10/10/2018 10:41 | any observations in regards to my ORM, TXP & STAR starter buys, good or bad will be very well received here, thanks, cheers Wan | wanobi
10/10/2018 10:40 | Lol terropol, thats now £2000, the rules were changed in April this year. Its tax free in a ISA or Sipp. A basic rate tax payer would pay £225 on a 5k dividend, higher rate tax payer would pay £975 | celeritas
10/10/2018 10:38 | 2sp, hmm, yes you are correct, I have gotten a bit carried away... AAZ is now worth over 50% of my SIPP, but its up by 25% at 68p today.... AAOG I've sold & I have sub 5K positions in ORM, TXP & now STAR as starter buys... Yes, seems a classic gamblers mistake, first bet pays of massively so expect it to happen again and again..... I am now beginning to realize how fortunate I am to have stumbled across AAZ and the mattjos thread when I did,,,,, & that it will not be easy if even possible to find another such situation!!! young no, naive when it comes to AIM, ADVFN, posting and so on, 100% yes....:-) Shell - nope, didn't know that at all, thanx. Will consider your questions later, thanx. Please do look in more often, thanx.. :-) Cheers Wan | wanobi
10/10/2018 10:32 | Today is the last day for anyone who doesn't want to be on the register to do something about it. You will be recorded if you hold after todays close. | celeritas |
