09/8/2018 13:47 | What does JORC stand for? Have you used the internet much? Google is a great invention. | jbravo2
09/8/2018 13:43 | Hi Mattjos, I see 41.25 on the trades page for last sell of 5K shares; but, how do you determine that one can sell up to 30K shares,,,, but full ask to buy anything? just looking at that 850 shares buy at 43p or dummy orders for like 1 share? Also what's T20 range mean? And what does JORC stand for? thanks | wanobi
09/8/2018 11:28 | I wonder if AAZ might follow a curve similar to that of GFM? | lefrene
09/8/2018 11:16 | Yes, great level. There's about 5 points of support at 41.5 on the 6 monthly chart. | basem1
09/8/2018 10:29 | online bid strengthening and now at 41.25 if you want to sell 30k but, full ask for anything to buy. Next week we'll be in T20 range for the Interims so have been adding some more so far this week during this weakness. Itching to know results of the exploration and new JORC ... cant be far off now from start of this newsflow | mattjos
09/8/2018 06:07 | Venezuela totally stuffed itself when, [over a year ago I think], it frightened off all the American companies contracted to maintain it's Oil assets, including refineries. Turkey has an emerging crisis, not least with it's rapidly devaluing currency. But, in contrast with Venezuela, it's been buying up a load of gold; 400 tons the past 6 years. [This addition is > than UK's entire reserves.] Commercial banks and individual depositors are holding gold as alternative to lira deposits: hxxps://www.middleea It will be interesting to see how this plays out with the obdurate Erdogan and Son [literally] refusing to raise rates to defend the T. Lira., depreciating at an ever faster rate + reciprocal inflation. To extent the banks remain solvent and stave off liquidity crisis, a host of other nations-nationals will be taking this on board. | 2sporrans
08/8/2018 17:02 | For many family's in Venezuela gold is the only currency of any worth. The government has sold half its gold since 2010 and has been the biggest seller over the last 2 years. Its got 150 tonnes left, can you imagine the mess had it not had that gold or when its all gone. Venezuela, coming to us should Corbyn ever get in. | celeritas
08/8/2018 15:57 | I don’t know if anybody else saw the article below, but could the fact that Venezuela cannot deliver its contracted oil exports mean that it is having to sell its gold reserves to pay for day to day expenses? Hence causing the drop in the gold price, and how much gold do they have left? “in June, Venezuela’s state-owned oil and gas company, Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), informed at least eight foreign clients that it would be unable to meet supply commitments. According to GlobalData, production is on track to fall to only 1 million barrels per day by 2019, down from 3 million a day in 2011, meaning the petrostate might soon have nothing left to deliver.” | notagain3
08/8/2018 15:11 | August's the 3rd best month of the year after Dec and Jan. I always make my customary £5-8k in August but I'm underwater so far with this one. Mainly due to mistimed purchases not market sentiment. | basem1
08/8/2018 14:55 | just nibble away on it on red days ... as if, to the casual observer, it is not being accumulated. The crowds will arrive in September and October & the MM's will fleece the late comers | mattjos
08/8/2018 14:53 | ok. Chill basem1 .... always going to be this lull & weak period just now. No 'scheduled' news until Interims in September and they should merely confirm (broadly) what we already know but, they will give data for various analytical sites to update + of course, give us info on the maiden interim dividend. October is a different matter ... Q3 update & that should light a fire here. Outwith the known schedule of news there is the matter of a JORC upgrade and that is an unknown quantity with regards its timing. I am 'guessing' it will come in early September. No point doing a JORC upgrade in August when the market participants are on holiday. Think I would go for: - Interims + Divi confirmation + forward statement ... that will get eyes on here - JORC upgrade and exploration update - Q3 update with FY production re-iteration So, 5/6 weeks before we get into that likely newsflow ... keep accumulating from the impatient as far as I am concerned | mattjos
08/8/2018 14:41 | Sorry yes i meant the mm's let some go at 41.4 not me!! | jeanesy
08/8/2018 14:32 | It needs to get moving as it's causing me some mental pain at present. | basem1
08/8/2018 14:28 | I think he means a few bought at 41.4p, now at 43p Its typical accumulation, move down hoping to shake a few out only its very sensitive to buying, hence the quick move to 43p trying to put people off. | celeritas
08/8/2018 14:27 | jeanesy .. you sold some for 41.4p, is that correct? Now if you want them back, it will cost you 43p ????? No understandy | mattjos
08/8/2018 14:15 | let a few go for 41.4 now having to pay 43. Price seems very sensitive atmo . I suppose its the summer trading thats to blame. | jeanesy
08/8/2018 12:33 | Morning T . Mines working fine. Had access problems last week and contacted them and I got this advice 'Sorry to hear you’re having access issues. This issue with the message saying ‘session has timed out’ can sometimes appear when the browser you’re using becomes ‘clogged’ Specifically with Google Chrome, the Cache and Cookies will need to be cleared. You can do this by selecting the ‘three dots in the line’ (at the end of the web address bar) > ‘more tools’ > ‘clear browsing data’. Once this has been done, close the browser and then log back in and it should work for you. ' It worked in my case | friendzarin
08/8/2018 12:23 | Good afternoon all. My II (EX TD) web site not working today... Is any body else having same problem? I can access on the mobile, but not on my PC... | terropol
08/8/2018 11:48 | By the time the divi announcement comes we could be yielding 5% and net cash. Happy to add here. | mr roper
08/8/2018 11:00 | Joey wilson - its still up 10 fold for those that bought in at 4p. Not bad for 2 years. The dividend and more jorc resources will see this rise. With the exploration budget very significant i expect at least 100,000 /200,000 ozs added this year and with that a increase in the market cap. I remain very unsure about the old russian numbers . Time will tell. | ilostthelot
08/8/2018 10:53 | lef - many thanx, thought I was going mad for a moment there. cheers | wanobi
08/8/2018 10:42 | wanobi, if you are looking at the ADVFN buy/sell indicator then you will be misled because it is very simplistic, merely taking trades either side of a mid-price and allocating sale or buy depending on which side of the middle price it falls. In the real world a trade could be a buy even if it is below the mid-price, thus you can't rely on the advfn indicator. This morning it looks like more buys than sells, but the price is off a penny, but some of those indicated 'buys' might actually be 'sells'. You could argue that if the price is slipping then the sells must outweigh the buys. However the market makers might have a big buy order to fill, in which case they will mark down the price to shake out sellers in order to get the stock required to fill their buy order! (or indeed vice-versa) It's all good clean fun in the market! | lefrene |
