31/7/2018 10:29 | id rather pay down debt (although its almost gone as we speak) or increase dividend but I am confident the BOD will do the right thing. lively start today, buys already over 100k | ![]() gutterhead
31/7/2018 08:27 | Unless Reza is prepared to sell his shares as part of the buyback they can't undertake one as his holding will go above 30% and therefore he will have to make an offer for the company. The shares are already illiquid as it is. Basically gold is falling so who is going to invest in a gold miner if their main product is falling in price? It doesn't matter how good the company is being run. Currently out of fashion that is all. It's a waiting game now and we know there is good news to come. At some point it will become obvious to the wider market and the rerate will come. Patience. | ![]() jaspoland
31/7/2018 08:25 | They'd have to obtain a waiver if a buyback were to take him over 30%. It's just speculation at the moment, nothing to suggest they're actually considering doing that. | ![]() bozzy_s
31/7/2018 08:16 | I agree with others that share buybacks would be a good way to go. If the company was buying back £100k worth of shares every week it would really increase the share price very quickly imo, which would benefit everyone. | ![]() mad foetus
31/7/2018 05:50 | Wouldn't increasing the percentage owned by management move Reza towards having to make a bid for the company? | ![]() ianguerin
30/7/2018 23:36 | Yep agree with that yasX. That 100k sell knocked the price a bit. With such strong cashflow they could mop up every sell from every 'retail' investor. A buy back would increase EPS / lower P/E ratio, increase %age owned by management, and provide a platform for the share price. Quite surprised to see the recent price action, given that at 44-47 last week it was possible to sell huge quantities online at mid 45.5p. | ![]() bozzy_s
30/7/2018 19:49 | Is that 100k late trade a buy at 44p or was it an earlier sell and reported later ? | ![]() jeanesy
30/7/2018 19:05 | AAZ continues to trade sideways as it has for most of the year. Given the cash generation, and notwithstanding the fact that funds are required for exploration and the anticipated dividend, I think a modest share buyback would be useful given the perceived disconnect between 'value' and the price of the shares. Ideally it would be better if they could entice institutional interest to lower the risk profile with investors to to reduce the inevitable churn that one witnesses with retail holders , but, in the absence such institutional backing, a share buyback campaign would be reasonable. If they did require funds at a later date, they could issue equity at higher prices as results of the explo campaign are revealed. | ![]() yasx
30/7/2018 16:12 | Quite happy with a cash positive business making over a $ million a week net, no debt as such and, capital equipment worth more than the market cap thank you! I still take the view that whom ever is selling here has no personal interest in the value, thus a third party? At todays price one could deduct perhaps 2p for an up coming divi. Cheaper than the proverbial chips. | ![]() lefrene
30/7/2018 15:00 | Anyone here had a look at ECR Minerals lately? No debt, stacks of cash....and possibly gold. ECR. Pp. | ![]() piperpeter

30/7/2018 11:35 | No surprise: "Anglo Asian Mining plc ("Anglo Asian" or "the Company"), the AIM listed gold, copper and silver producer, is pleased to announce that the resolution was duly passed at its General Meeting held on 30 July 2018." Divi on the way :-) | ![]() mattjos
27/7/2018 13:37 | Well at least we know there will be a RNS on Monday. Should be a formality | ![]() jaspoland
27/7/2018 11:58 | Thanks Jbravo, I have registered to attend. I don't expect to hear anything new but will be good to see how AAZ sell the story and investment value to new investors. These events are normally attended just after the release of good news...like a dividend decision or prod update-both would be good! Will give feedback after event. | ![]() gutterhead

26/7/2018 11:18 | Could be your reverend purchase will nudge the quoted price to maybe 45<>47p; keep gradual upward momentum going. Wish the quoted spread was no more than 1p but resigned that 2 to 3p par for course during thin trade, which is most of the time. Especially during these Dog Days of Summer. The next news? Maybe something on exploration/dev. ? The last drilling results - for Year 2017 - were released on 26th March. Nothing yet for this year; so possibly something for H1? That would also capture the first 3 months of the 3 year explor. prog. which ko middle of March. | ![]() 2sporrans
