FYI. There was no 'big fall' today. Down 14p on the day - peanuts.

At one point it was down circa 60p. which is no more than an average day's drop.

Helpful but for me this will trade at much closer to 3000 if we can get some sort of global soft landing.

Not going to be quick or easy getting there but I am happy to wait and pick up the divi / averaging down every now and again along the way too.

I can’t believe what the actual market cap AAL is at the moment compared to the amazing portfolio they hold around the World. I’m just baffled why AAL hasn’t been subjected to a takeover bid??

Market open

The index's top performers were Anglo American, up 2.7% as JPMorgan raised the miner's price target, and Rio Tinto, which the US bank raised to 'neutral' from 'underweight'.


JP Morgan reiterated its 'overweight' recommendation for shares of Anglo American, as it raised its target price for the tock from 2,650p to 2,900p. The bank said Anglo "remains our top pick with stronger value unlock potential".
