You'd think, with this new drive of positivity emanating from AYM, that the company directors might be scrambling to rebuy shares and replenish their squandered stock.., no?

Agreed Benjamin, was going to say the same thing. Jo seems to understand investor relations better than the old gang and its only taken him 12 days since the fund-raising to produce a meaningful update. Bodes well. As does their choice of Drilling Company...they are very experienced in Zinc, Lead and Silver mining.

Well timely update on work plan and a much more professional communication. So data coming back Q1 , with updated drilling results and updated interpretation of recoverables so should be some interesting revised assessment of the opportunity not too far out.

It has moved on quite a bit in terms of defining the resources available for extraction the last proper update on Parys was the release of a Preliminary Economic Assessment following an optimisation study back in January.https://www.angleseymining.co.uk/File/38/en-GBCommentary from then CEO now Deputy chairhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h783qzB4R60Obviously more recent comment from new CEO is that the inferred resource estimate has to be firmed up to indicated through a work-plan of drilling to produce a Feasibility Study , a more robust assessment that the company can use to seek funding , jv partner or even outright sale of project. There is obviously a highly economic project in Parys that needs packaging better to reflect the opportunity. The work on site is meant to be starting imminently with the only timescale given on producing a Feasibility study as 2022. It is unclear is they will release piecemeal data as they go.New CEO commentaryhttps://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/962512/anglesey-mining-re-invigorated-with-new-management-and-long-term-vision-962512.html

so my take is Parys resource is more or less the same ie its all still in the ground but back in 2011 it seemed that the Mkt Cap was still not valuing much in the ground for Parys.

Copper price was just a bit lower than it currently is.

Think the real rerate will only come when some decent updated drill results are out there.

Highs March 2011 shares in issue end of March 2011 158m..so £142.2m at 90p.The market value of the group's (33%) investment in LIM at 31 March 2011 was £156m slightly off highs. So market cap was at a discount to LIM holding value. The company's current 12% holding is worth £2.4mThere are now 248m shares in issue. Not really comparable on any basis.

There is no current copper smelting operation in UK of any size so any concentrate produced would need to go to Europe for processing then sent back to UK . Not so seem-less to the UK market unless someone invests £10ms in smelting capacity...maybe they will if opportunity is big enough.

does anyone know what the market cap of AYM was at its highest?

Without looking looking back I think shares in issue were 180m in 2011 at 90 odd pence so market cap would have been £162m

What a steal it is now?

The whinges are the clowns that bought the shares from me at the highs, they will get their money back at some point 👍

"There are roughly 180 pounds of copper in every electric vehicle.""Offshore wind power requires 15 tonnes of copper wiring per megawatt (MW) of electricity generation. Upgrading of electricity grid networks and connecting often remote renewable energy generation to where it is consumed are other sources of demand."Can't just rely on imports. Surely.

By there's some wisdom on here today. lolLet's see where Jo takes this thing. Get the extra work done, present it to who it needs to be in front of, in hopefully buoyant market conditions and.. you just never know. One thing is for certain, the time is right for a uk copper producer.
