19/10/2021 15:34 | Calmt/Kooba, thanks for your replies. So back in the day it was the value perceived to be ion LIM not Parys that drove the price up? I think the new CEO taking a stake suggests that things will move forward more quickly with Parys than in the past (prob difficult to move any slower of course) but am sure he will want to progress things whilst copper prices are looking strong. fingers crossed | nickthe saint
19/10/2021 14:08 | Much of that value was down exclusively to a moment in the sun where the company had a significant interest in Labrador Iron Mines which for a that brief period of time was highly profitable ..until the iron ore price cratered and the company had to go into an arrangement with creditors..Anglesey got heavily diluted in the process but retains 12%. Following recent talk from LIM of seeking full funding and getting the prospect up and running again the company has been seeking a far smaller amount of funding to basically get the project to an investable state ( same as Parys) but it has gone very quiet. LIM did bounce a bit yesterday but only on 132k shares so about £15K worth. There are also a lot more shares in issue since those high days which will also have diluted shareholder interests. If they get Parys right though who knows? | kooba
19/10/2021 13:55 | SP went very close £1 so it must be around £200m | calmtrader
19/10/2021 13:51 | does anyone know what the market cap of AYM was at its highest? tia | nickthe saint
19/10/2021 13:47 | Good to get the funding I agree, but until its producing, it doesn't mean anything once that is in place. If it did, then why has copper increased in price by around a third from start of this year. You then compare the price of AYM to it and you get the opposite. | djb3
19/10/2021 13:36 | The price of copper and zinc is hardly irrelevant, if you wish to get funding to start mining as this company wants to then the underlying price of produced metal is highly material in terms of value to the company and to any prospective purchaser of the asset as well as securing funding. The feasibility study they are working on will be based on a number of assumptions but a key one is course the cash flow from selling the mined ore concentrates. It is high relevant. | kooba
19/10/2021 13:18 | cheers smacker | nickthe saint
19/10/2021 13:06 | Copper could be 500% higher but would still have no affect. It's not a producer at present and until it is, its completely irrelevant. | djb3
19/10/2021 13:01 | As ive saud before. Copper prices atball time high. Aym share price close to all time lows. Copper could be a billion dollars but wont make shttt all difrnce to aym share price IF history is to go by anything | spacedust
19/10/2021 12:42 | Copper price surges through $11,000 on supply squeeze. This looks a winner from current depressed levels. | yasxii
19/10/2021 12:20 | No it's the company that ETX operates under, who participated in the placing. | smackeraim
19/10/2021 10:47 | Who was it that increased their stake by 14m shares? Monecor? is that an investment arm of Chris Ackers? | nickthe saint
19/10/2021 10:31 | From earlier this year ..ZInc may be somewhat overlooked in the electric revolution?https://w | kooba
19/10/2021 10:13 | Copper, zinc and lead all doing well - though as the price of zinc has risen due to reductions in refining in Europe caused by high energy prices, I am not sure if the value of the unrefined concentrate will have gone up. The physical copper shortage at the LME still doesn't seem to have caused the market stir I would expect. You can't make an electric motor out of a contract note. China has sold a chunk of its strategic reserves of copper, which has helped, but we don't know how much it has (I think it has sold about 110,000 tons). Copper demand may ease if aluminium smelters don't get some magnesium supplies soon, as the car industry will grind to a halt without the right aluminium alloys. The international copper supply group sees new supply coming on line next year covering the production deficit, Goldman Sachs is not so optimistic and physical reserves are low. We live in interesting times ! | noccer
19/10/2021 07:34 | And copper & Zinc hitting the highs | calmtrader
19/10/2021 07:21 | That should bring us up a bit more.. | benjamin15
18/10/2021 22:16 | Curious to see LBRMF (Labrador Iron Ore Mines) jump up 40% from 13c to 17c towards the close over there. | noccer
18/10/2021 19:44 | Very tight position in physical https://www.zerohedg | kooba
18/10/2021 18:14 | Little breather before the next leg up .. | benjamin15
18/10/2021 14:08 | It has been next to impossible to buy online for most of the day, Proquote (most brokers use them) has been 'at best' all day whilst it appears IG has a modest supply of stock around offer they move their positions fast. It suggests there is a large background buyer in the market, the market makers are fishing for sells. | broken_arrow1
18/10/2021 14:07 | Rather hoping we were moving away from spread bet houses serving trading clients for raising money..but this looks like over half the share placing , not the HNWI and Mining funds mentioned. Be odd if ETX has taken them on the book as they are not a fund so imagine they are being farmed out to clients..who knows! | kooba
18/10/2021 13:15 | so ETX Capital - I guess the question is, is that one buyer, or several punters ? | shill10
18/10/2021 12:02 | Fair few PI sized sells looks like theres a decent sized buyer in the background I'd guess. Might print out on the close around mid price. | kooba |
