Yes i know the situation very well ..if you look am regular poster there though my interest is more intellectual than any holding in the company.I know the guy that runs the activist fund pretty well..not sure the board will call the GM in time to prevent the restructuring but their behaviour warranted a challenge.. He would love this situation the board is a ready target...equally if you could work with them on funding could be equally as lucrative as taking control.

Just out of interest, have you seen what's happening with the board of directors HUR?

Yes nice piece on proactive as always you can trace them back for many years and their always on the cusp of greatness...then silence. The article is 4 months old and the shares down 47% since, metals prices on the other hand have further accelerated.More action less talk is required.

Trader
Look at the link I posted for 2017, they reckon the mine was going to be up and running by last year...They have only been sitting on it for 30 years...That is what a lot of long term holders find frustrating.

Anglesey Mining’s PEA for Parys Mountain shows the potential for a US$1bn project, and next steps will be crucial

Maybe an offer for Grangesburg, after all iron ore has rocketed, and China-Australia relations appear to be getting worse. I wonder what QME think about Parys, IIRC they invested a chunk of effort - or maybe they are still working on it. Their management does seem to be capable of making things happen.

You would think so, a bid for Parys or the whole of the company...Which one...

Surely at some point they will receive a bid.

The price hasn't dropped. My holding is worth exactly the same as it was yesterday. They've closed the spread as they so often do here.

Market cap of 9m, and this morning it drops 3.66% on a sale of 40,000 shares... Somehow the numbers don't add up...

Thanks Calmtrader

Little bored so thought I would have a look at the metal prices involved in the PEA although based over a three year trailing period..

$US1.20 per pound for zinc NOW US 1.3399
$US2.81 per pound for copper, NOW US 4.6525
$US0.95 per pound for lead, NOW US 0.9895
$US16.67 per ounce for silver NOW US 28.475
$US1,459 per ounce for gold, NOW US 1867.40

Feel free to correct me on any of the above, but any idea what they are currently sitting on NOW...

All, rather OT but I want to warn everybody about ever dealing with Swissquote as a broker. They are manipulating thieves who create debt in your account by having it cross currency. Stay well away and use another reputable broker.

Looking forward to hearing about the progress trader, as have many of us who have been waiting patiently for many, many years and been continually disappointed. As a holder, I would love to be proven wrong, but right now it looks like an opportunity to sell the asset at a good price or develop it is being passed by - again.
I would rather pay the salaries of a board who is capable of moving this forward in some way.

If there had been material progress not in the public domain they would have been restricted from dealing I guess..buying and selling. I took the share sales as a sign that there is no imminent news ..to be fair if they thought they were on the cusp of any breakthrough I doubt we would have seen sales across the board. Being busy and making any progress may well be quite different things.

It has been 4 months since Bill Howler a.k.a CEO published PEA report for Anglesey. And it is 4 MONTHS WITHOUT any progress! 5 months to go now before AGM. Honestly...that is the best time to kick out all of the non function OAPs from the board. They should have passed the baton on and retired.

Realise different situation but was showing that mining finance is likely there for the right prospects..also that someone like Hannam and partners might be slightly more clued up than a spread betting shop as broker to help get projects financed. On Hemerdon not simply a pick up and run as is therefore the capital raise. New ceo Denning said the plant Wolf had assembled at the site "wasn't fit for purpose" and had depressed production dramatically. But still likely to be in production again next year. Slightly surprised Anglesey didn't pick it up and sit on it for a few decades ; )

You mentioned the Hemerdon mine, this was a fully operating mine up until only a couple of years ago and I believe all the equipment is still in place, Anglesey is quite a different prospect.
