14/2/2022 14:28 | Hardly a mass exodus, a few weak holders fleeing. Any LTH will likely see this as an opportunity to add. | beltd
14/2/2022 14:18 | Equally nonsense. Many Western firms trade very well within Russia | beltd
14/2/2022 14:16 | Roofer. The substantive comment was regarding the license, where in my opinion you make an incorrect assumption. | pensionplanner
14/2/2022 14:16 | The Russians will always do what they want. Regardless of law. A piece of paper here means nothing in bad times.Anyone investing in western companies operating in Russia, need a good prayer. | apfindley
14/2/2022 13:45 | Russia should be great full to the west, after all they have done to destabilise the world, they have been pushing probing for long enough, one boot over the line it’s game on ! We have had Vietnam and Afghanistan, 1-1 draw so let’s see ! Imo R2 | roofer2

14/2/2022 13:36 | PP, all sounds very interesting, I’ll stand with the view G G Patton said, “why stop here, the enemy is over there, we will only have to come back !!” Russia may not be called the USSR anymore, the spots are still the same and communists still spelt the same !!! IMO R2 | roofer2
14/2/2022 13:30 | What a load of cods wallop..... So instead of encouraging Russia to move more and more towards the West, the West did try to rub Russia's nose in it, and the Russian psyche will never allow that | beltd
14/2/2022 12:56 | Nutters have been let loose from the bashers asylum again ;) The same old question, which none of them ever answer, WHY ARE YOU HERE? :) | london07
14/2/2022 12:53 | Roofer. in reality a 'piece of paper called a license' is an issue whereas the Budapest Memorandum isn't, but that is down to Obama threatening consequences of crossing a red line then doing nothing. The US, UK and Russia were signatories to the Budapest Memorandum which guaranteed the sovereignty of Ukraine and integrity of its borders. But as nothing was done with annexe of Crimea...a green flag, especially when all that Biden and others could comment on was about sanctions, when that was not what they agreed to in the Budapest Memorandum. Sanctions usually of no real consequence to Russia, as demonstrated when the EU followed up with sanctions on dairy products....whereas Russia just started its own dairy industry producing cheeses and dairy products, killing off EU market. Ukraine promised assistance from the West to ensure the Budapest Memorandum was upheld as much as the support for Kurds fighting ISIS...abandoned. To think this Memorandum was there to encourage Ukraine to remove 3,000 nuclear warheads on its territory, where whether we agree on nuclear weapons or not, I doubt Russia or anyone else would be having troops on Ukraine's border. They have been well and truly shafted by the West. Part of the problem was with the break up of the Soviet Union, instead of the West embracing Russia, where NATO may have even been unnecessary with Russia integrated in Europe, the West did seek expansion of its influence which was also not agreed at the time. So instead of encouraging Russia to move more and more towards the West, the West did try to rub Russia's nose in it, and the Russian psyche will never allow that. Licenses for resources however do have more chance of being adhered to irrespective of regimes, as resources always need money to exploit. | pensionplanner

14/2/2022 12:04 | When Russia invade, all bets are off, if they are not going to respect another country’s boarders I can’t see a A4 piece of paper called a license being an issue, but hey Flagert might take it up with the Russians lol I can’t wait for it to kick off ! IMO R2 | roofer2
