12/10/2018 06:59 | No hard and fast rule with that one. Market conditions and all sorts will affect the movement both up and down | ignoble
11/10/2018 23:26 | Thank you ignoble, I wounder what happens when the underwritter covers their shorts and the support to the share price stops. Freefall perhaps given the turbulance times? | countless

11/10/2018 23:07 | More like 4 pounds per share! | costax1654x
11/10/2018 22:58 | It has also gone bankrupt an amazing 7 times since its birth in 1913. | costax1654x

11/10/2018 21:23 | Lead underwriter will test the Fund Managers in the first instance along the lines of we are bringing abc to the market. They will trawl all the big fund managers and "build a book" of buyers , how many shares etc , the price they are prepared to pay and the like. They can then decide how much they can raise and at what price Again , that is roughly how it comes together. | ignoble
11/10/2018 21:17 | IPOs usually bought by pension funds and the like. Speculators maybe , looking for a quick in and out profit. | ignoble
11/10/2018 21:15 | It does get more technical and complex but that is a rough idea. Dyor etc. | ignoble
11/10/2018 21:10 | Stabilisation or "greenshoe" is when an issue comes to market and the underwriters will sell more shares than are being issued . The idea is that when the Stock starts trading the underwriters can buy their "short" back and thus hold the Stock around its issue price for a few days. Makes the underwriters look good in their clients eyes . There are always "stags" who want out as soon as trading starts and the underwriters can buy that stock to close their short again and hold the price steady | ignoble
11/10/2018 19:24 | Can anyone tell me who buys into these IPOs at such high valuations ? Who actually funds the initial IPo | kirk 6
11/10/2018 19:19 | Can anyone please tell me what stabilisation transactions are? Who pays for them and how do they occur. I never knew they even existed! So much for a free market..... | countless
11/10/2018 18:22 | One born every minute, the poor mugs that invested their hard earned into this pile of sxxt at a vastly inflated price just as the UK car market heads south and everywhere else teeters on recession, great timing. Worth a couple of quid a share, parts bin unreliable cars and a company built on debt, bankrupt seven times so far in its history, thats about every thirtenn years it goes bust haha. | porsche1945
11/10/2018 14:21 | Id have bern beter off buying an aston!!! | foxy22
11/10/2018 13:16 | Where would this be without the stabilisation transactions ? Thank goodness I never went for these. | tyranosaurus
11/10/2018 11:08 | Share float matches their current range of cars ... high expectation followed by disappointing reality. Q | quidzinn
11/10/2018 11:07 | Did anyone put money in to this? I only look at this price to cheer myself up. | wish i wasnt in rbs
10/10/2018 21:30 | All the Fund Managers who piled into the flotation don't look too clever. We trust these people to manage our Pension Funds.... Hey Ho ....the usual answer is usually that we invest for the long term. In other words, if it goes wrong short term , not to worry , all will be well in 30 years time. Lol Totally beyond me how anyone sees Aston as a good investment but hopefully I am wrong. Maybe long term ... No offence to Fund Managers. ..just a bit of banter. | ignoble
10/10/2018 18:49 | 255623 sold at 1598 then 16028 at 1588 after hours | countless |
