I suspect you have never been involved in due diligence or how deals are done. You cannot assume Blvn found something awful. Not all their shareholders were in favour of the deal and they may just have needed a minor point to allow them to withdraw.

plus a big unfundable share of Ruvuma.? its not that big Bun

"75% (operator) interest in the Ruvuma PSA, where it is making progress towards the recompletion of the Ntorya 1 discovery well, and the drilling of the Ntorya 2 appraisal well. This programme has been designed with the support of TPDC to fast-track the field development and potentially build an early production" system for local power demand"

Naah boon, most probably bullying tactics by Bowl. Never a good place to be when you have little cash, which is where Aminex is/was when at th negotiation table.Am sure they can raise to go forward and solo will come on board very soon. All very positive and added at 1.29.

kwizza - oh well that's great then. More than makes up for it. They'll also save on petrol because they won't have to visit the bank anymore due to the bonus of having no money.

Bun - it is only a buying opportunity if you believe there is anything left that is going to rescue them. Why did Bowleven walk away? That has to be the main question this morning imo.

Ophir obviously aren't going to be watching this. They relinquished the neighbouring offshore blocks and the onshore stuff is small potatoes.

The only positive here is that the market will oversell and it will be a buying opportunity on the back of the GSA income. Other than that it is terrible.

Makes you wonder.....if they decided to walk away.....what did they see that they didn´t like?

The BLVN RNS can give the impression that they did not like what they saw in the DD.

The AEX RNS gives the impression that they could not come to an agreement regarding the 'forward work programme' that was acceptable to all parties.

The utterly depressing thing is we didn't even expect a farm out announcement. We were waiting on the GSA. Now we have the GSA but we're going to be trading sub-1p because of this false dawn.

how imminently bluebell.

"The Company has been advised by the Tanzanian Petroleum Development Corporation ("TPDC") to prepare the Kiliwani North 1 well for production starting mid-February. Initial production rates will be managed to allow for testing and commissioning of the recently completed gas processing plant and pipeline"

Negative is how the market has interpreted the RNS... and the market's right.
