16/11/2019 18:23 | the most expensive activity that a man can engage into are (sorted): 1. honesty 2. woman(s) 3. toys GC ??? | ![]() kaos3
16/11/2019 18:11 | No if's, otherwise how and why did Michinoko get first sight of the deal? | ![]() lucyp00p
16/11/2019 18:10 | Because it was only 19.2 pps and the link to their website shows a press release describing strategic links with ONGC and the OXY field. How has it been possible for these links to have been formed only on the day of the announcement rather than agreed beforehand? We expected 3 parties bidding on this but got one who is already embedded with the other two. The proposal should have been to split the company 3 ways and invite tenders for each. This carve up was totally predictable and strategically as stupid as it is possible to be. | ![]() lucyp00p
16/11/2019 17:59 | If Michinoko weren't tied to GC then perhaps the losses in Iron have caused them to re-evaluate their support for both GC and JW I wonder how they'll be voting on the deal and whether they'd support a move to put a new board in?Q | ![]() quidnunc
16/11/2019 17:37 | Why does it look like Geopark tabled the only bid? | ![]() mortgage freeman
16/11/2019 17:13 | It's a stitch up. It looks like Geopark tabled the only bid and has already worked the deal with ONGC and OXY. This is why we need to vote it down or wait for M & P to return. | ![]() lucyp00p
16/11/2019 17:08 | Would be a bit unusual for all parties to put their best offer in first off and then walk away. £2.4m fee isn't a big deal.Unless of course the assets are carp or it's a stitch up. | ![]() mortgage freeman
16/11/2019 16:38 | Surely the other 'well funded' parties threw their offer in but we haven't been told. | ![]() 3roach

16/11/2019 14:59 | Geopark closed up all of 0.26% on news of the acquisition... I was having a look with a view to having a small punt for old time’s sake, but haven’t got involved in using Crest for overseas holdings. Anyone got any experience? | ![]() davwal
16/11/2019 14:04 | Whatever happens, if Geopark are buying at 18.9 pps they are not going to crash the car like Rex or they will lose a ton of cash. | ![]() lucyp00p
16/11/2019 13:54 | 2. GeoPark ( who may be hoovering up stock right now) becomes majority shareholder. Fires GC and JW and runs Amerisur professionally as a separate entity. 3. GeoPark ( who may be hoovering up stock right now) becomes majority shareholder. Fires GC and JW and runs Amerisur in to the ground. | ![]() lucyp00p
16/11/2019 13:53 | 3 scenarios come to mind if no competing bid appears 1. 75% acceptance and we're all shafted 2. | ![]() lucyp00p
16/11/2019 13:14 | As I read the RNS the company is being bought either through a Scheme of Arrangement (where 75% of those voting is required) OR by a Takeover offer (where 50%+ is required). So if the SoA fails to get the necessary then an agreed Takeover bid will be launched. Why do it this way? Well the SoA is cheaper and faster to get through to completion. A Takeover offer runs to a defined timetable lasting a few months. I note the directors have 15p options expiring in December so they will have to dip into their pockets to buy them if the SoA isn't approved before then. | ![]() esmerelda

16/11/2019 10:17 | With the current stale Management Amerisur will never come good. Im voting for the offer and moving on. | ![]() underhill2
16/11/2019 10:09 | It will be clear well before we're asked to vote whether another party is interested enough to pay more. As such the risk of holding is minimal (IMHO). If no-one else tables a counteroffer holders might as well take the 19.21p or sell if 75% threshold is not met and rebuy when share price hits 12p lows again (If they think AMER will come good at some point). | rollthedice
