Without any Notification/RNS, Michinoku appeared on the list of large shareholdings at about the same time as RH - who also accumulated a notifiable interest without making any declarations as several thresholds were reached.

In fairness, RH did make notification at a later date. Analyses of the notifications and allocations between his various family 'sub-entities' at the time showed this to be somewhat overdue.

Why would the company be sold if Clarke is ejected?

Tyler that thought crossed my mind as well. I have asked GC face to face if he was behind michinoku and even though he denied it his answer was not convincing.

If Giles is not reelected expect the company to go up for sale in a month, but will we also get more revelations about seller.

Michinoko....but is it true or this too deflect from some of the criticism of being somehow conflicted

Should be an interesting AGM. I hope all the big private hitters go and voice their opinions. Don't forget if you don't vote then your vote goes with the chairman.

Karma struck Dana hopefully Wardle and the other Directors who have milked the company will meet their Creator in the same manner

So much for the theory that GC and Michinoko are one and the same thing!

Could be an interesting AGM:

The chairman of oil and gas explorer Amerisur Resources faces an investor rebellion amid a prolonged slide in the share price.

Shareholders with almost 14% of Amerisur — including the largest, Michinoko — are set to vote against re-electing Giles Clarke at the annual meeting this month. They are also due to vote against directors’ pay.

Shares have fallen by almost 80% over the past five years, from 60p in May 2014 to 12.75p on Friday.

Clarke, 65, a former chairman of the England and Wales Cricket Board who built Majestic Wine into a chain during the 1980s, is paid $303,000 (£230,000).

He joined as chairman in 2007, alongside chief executive John Wardle and finance director Nick Harrison, both still in place.

Amerisur said that the two leading shareholder advisers, Glass Lewis and ISS, had recommended shareholders vote for all the directors.

Dana Coffield, 61, who had chaired the remuneration committee since the start of the year, died in an avalanche while skiing last month.

I've got a £3.5 m property portfolio in the East Midlands. For years it performed like Amerisur, but up 6% last year so I'm told. Amerisur should have made me the same amount, why it hasn't it directly down to the board, let's face it, the company is comfortably worth double.

Hi share sure, I don't specifically disagree with what Lucy is saying, what I don't understand is if you purchase a car and it keeps going wrong, letting you down time after time etc and you would not be happy. The time comes when people will say, why don't you sell up and get a another car that will not let you down, it's not worth going on and on moaning about it and it may deter new investors taking a punt if they read lots of regurgitated sorrow going back years. Am I happy that the share price has gone down from 20 p to 12 p, no course not. Is that all the fault of JW or GC ? Course it's not. If the reason for buying has changed and you see better options with other stocks why stay invested here. I don't think it's crass asking the question and seeing what the answer is from Lucy. I really fail to understand. If the be all end all for the this is that JW and JC should be gone, we'll wait a bit and re invest if and when they are booted out. It's as simple as that. There are some very reasoned posters on here with a lot of knowledge, Warren Buffet is getting a 100 thousand prefered stock in OXY at a rate of 8% and Lucy's answer is that WB also gets it wrong. Yes, sure he did like at tescos, and what did he do about it, he sold out at a loss. If this stock go down the pan, then I lose, and I will blame myself for not researching hard enough. No one else's fault, just mine.

Fully support Lucy’s and Tonyr’s view about GC. The suggestion from elsewhere that if we don’t like what has happened since GC became involved we should sell up, is crass. Why should we? Many of us were here long before he was appointed and were not impressed (or duped?) as some were by the claims he apparently made at his interview. If he had lived up to his hype this company would not be languishing at just twice the share price it was at when he did his fund raising a decade or so ago.
I doubt the company would be disadvantaged without him as chairman. He is quoted as saying he pays little or no attention to the share price. If that is so, then I suggest that it is time he did.

thegreatgeraldo - sorry about delay in responding just back the cinema watching "The long shot" (good film would recommend it). I think what bdgm has suggested would be a good start and for most normal people not too difficult. :0)

Lucy, I know your only trying to wind us up for a laugh as you can't be serious so please take what I said as complete rubbish as well.
I'll stick my neck out out and say well done on your gains. Please leave a few tips for us small fry that dare to question one such savvy investor like yourself ( unlike a mere novice like myself )as you have just made £200 grand but after so long are still invested in a stock that day in day out speak in such a negative way about your investment here. It really does seem soooooooo bizarre. I'll swan off now with my Jackie charlton neck.......oh, sorry, I didn't mean to upset you my Lord.

MrX001 - You're in charge tomorrow..... what specific changes would you make? Would you plough on regardless at CPO-5? Start shipping 3rd party crude thru OBA without govt approval..... rip up the Oxy farm-out & spend the cash pile shooting seismic/drilling on a 100% basis?....

I find it very sad that the company has such great potential but it is not being fulfilled by the BOD, this lack of confidence in them is I believe what is holding/reducing the share price. I wonder what it takes for the institutional investors to take action to remove the CEO/BOD.

Having been here for 12+ years (prior to GC's coronation) and learned, seen and experienced a lot of his style of Chairmanship, I totally agree with Lucy's last post except possibly one point.

I feel the last line would read better as " ...he fills his pockets from."

I'm sure they will juice us up with an impending buy back, future divi, cash stonking April, OBA soon to sell third party oil, update on next CPO-5 poke etc etc, generally enough to keep us happy but what ever we are told there will be the usual wingeing party poopers infecting this be and the LSE Bb. Roll on next 2 years and we can hunt down GTE ( maybe I'm getting a little bit carried away with the last bit!)

What is very important is that the passing of their colleague is respected by all. I have seen that over my working life and it's a hard one to take.
