Let's hope Jan's production spurs the share price on to the mid 20s at least.

From what GC said yesterday, it looks like the next targets are 3 drills for the N sands in the Platanillo block. They are also planning drills in 2018 in the Put 8, Put 9 and Put 12 blocks. All the oil found in these blocks can flow through the OBA pipeline as they are adjacent, keeping our costs low. They seem very excited by the N sands, they think they're a winner.Looking forward to seeing the next presentation document.

There's a strong echo in here ;-)

Btw harrisun as I said before I think you are wrong - the reason (or a very substantial one of them) markets continue to rise is Aramco and all the geo-politics (not to mention huge amounts of money) surrounding the IPO thereof due mid-year.

I enjoyed the interview, I'm pleased I'm heavily invested at these share price levels. Incredible potential for the next few years.

Pumping more Ponzi oil but at what cost.

The Permian shows overdrilling is reducing the production per well so not only terrible decline rates to put up with but ever declining production from the new wells drilled.

Oooh I know let's pay $80 a barrel to produce in the Permian, sell it for $60, borrow up to the hilt tap new investors where it will be impossible to meet the vast increase in interest payments on massive debt with spectre of rising interest rate.

Check out how much money the shale operators are burning and losing how many assets they have had to sell how much money they have had to borrow

The reason oil has gone up is the world has seen through the gigantic fraud of Ponzi shale

No GC playing it cool. Do not forget that Giles already stated that under certain circumstances Amerisur was up for sale. So he's not going to hint at it now. Same with CPO-5. They might hint at selling off CPO-5 but why would ONGC want to buy it when they can buy the company and all the assets. GC is playing a poker hand.

Ace

A pity that not one barrel of it makes a profit.

Ask Chesapeake how much profit they make. ROFL

Any idiots can export oil at $55 that they pay $80 to extract

Most pundits have seen through the bulls now the Ponzi that is shale

BWD - good to know someone reads my posts :-)

And even better that they can react, sometimes!

I agree, I see Ecuador as the yellow brick road, a means to ramp up production through the OBA and Cp05 as the means to pay for it.

It sounds like they are going to sell their interest in CPO.

Several things I infer from the GC interview, some unexpected:
1. He is extremely bullish on the prospects of the North Sands and seems to see these as the driver for Amerisur, rather than CPO5.
2. He curiously dismisses analysts assessments of CPO5 potential. The fact he is playing this down is odd. Analysts don't usually pluck figures out of the air, their calculations will be based on what the company has told them. Also, why have these estimates not been released. Usually companies are keen to play up any good comment that might improve a still flagging share price! Either they want to play it cautiously and avoid speculative buying until it is proven, or, they want to avoid a runaway share price fuelled by retail traders before the suits have had time to fill their orders. I don't know which but GC was obviously very uncomfortable/embarrassed about some of the analysts figures.
3. I sense he is tempted to expand into Ecuador which worries me a bit. Surely we have enough prospects to keep us occupied for the foreseeable. Perhaps doing a bit of exploration in Ecuador is the quid pro quo for sorting out the OBA problems the other side of the border! On the other hand, it sounds like he has all the connections to potentially secure some prime acreage, so we will wait and see!

Reading his body language - Yes he is selling Indian partnership after the second well comes in ok ( but not as high as some predict) and is investing this money in Ecvador (but it is a secret now as it is still an open issue). OBA is not as good as believed - amer can resolve its own problems by building a pumping station but off take in Ecvador is not sure. Hence massageing Ecvadorian politics and investing in their blocks to become local (maybe a trick Will be selling Columbian as Ecvadorian oil if needed?). Very exited on our own ackerage in Colombia. No further dillution indeed. He IS thinking about divi for REAL. Sands are what he likes most. Does not like the cooperation with Indians ( corruption needed?). all imho

It's a pity they cannot be bothered to spell Colombia correctly in the title headings - and that GC failed to notice and ask for a correction when he or his PR team reviewed it.

GC's interview certainly put a downer on the share price every time somebody says they don't understand why the share price is so low down it goes.
