somnus - yes, quite right. I fully accept that some things such as waiting for licence approvals are out of their hands.
But Giles Clarke said on the 15th that the OBA would be operating "within days." In my book, that means less than a week, certainly less than a fortnight. Malcy was advised Monday or Tuesday. GC/they operate in some weird parallel universe where time is infinitely flexible.

Val - it reminds me that I was also young once.

Rex is in his 80's - he dont do any major work now

Daniel has no industry experience and has been hopeless

incite from some company they were messin with

"Daniel Harbour, a member of Rex Harbour’s family, is an associate professor of cognitive science at Queen Mary University, London, and seemingly has no background in the mining industry. Two other dissident nominees, Howard Carr and Kevin Tomlinson, have worked for companies in which Rex Harbour was a substantial shareholder.”

he's been dumpin amer stock all year and then goes puttin in lodda funds into PANR near 180p level

harbour did not participate in the 25p placin and woz not happy bout it. Who woz?

every day 1 mil or more is sold in 250k or 150k or 100k blocks thru day

this been goin on for months

that's why I say rexy boyo, coz it look like his boy sellin from his mayfair bedsit

when he stop sellin , amer goin back to 30's very quick

jus gotta be patients and the buy dips

thanks to rexy boyo we get cheap stock

So what's the hold up now? They've had the analysts' visit. They've had the signing of the peace deal. Don't tell me they're waiting for the plebiscite at the weekend, or they're still waiting for the final rubber stamp in Ecuador, or something else. Malcy should have learned his lesson, like the rest of us, that when they tell you: "Monday or Tuesday" it won't be Monday or Tuesday.

Foiled

So, with your personal knowledge of the situation, are you saying that Rex should NOT be credited with the BOD climb down on the 2015 awards (which were halved after consultation) or that he was still unhappy even after they HAD been halved?

The main part of his sale was pre March and I would wholly concur that it has "nothing to do with Amerisur" now. If (repeating idle speculation here) Rex objected to a placing in lieu of keep on pumping at the lower margins, that is history, as AMER start to pump again.

Well, one does not have to go back too far into Amer's history to see that Rex did change what he did not like here.

"Again, the facts tell a different story.

The 2015 awards as initially announced in Feb, were halved for directors, after consultation, so it looked like Rex's protest did not fall on deaf ears".

I wonder if it was even within Amerisur's control, as it is a very high political game involving the UK, Colombia, Ecuador, U.S. and even China

This statement from Amerisur's own web page suggests its now done!

"Amerisur Resources is an independent full-cycle oil and gas company focused on South America, with assets in Colombia and Paraguay. In 2016 Amerisur successfully built and is 100% owner of the strategic OBA pipeline into Ecuador".

Surprised at Rex, as usually he stays and fights. Daniel only presided over the Trust shares and they sold them some time ago. A really nice guy who works in London.

Normally if Rex doesn't like anything he changes it, as you only have to look at some of his other holdings to see what happens if he doesn't like a BoD.

Personally hope he hasn't walked away, which is not his style.

Perhaps he had a tip off but I question whether the place he jumped to is better than where he jumped from and no doubt he will consider that carefully as he's a shrewd investor.

I sold out at 27p, a not inconsiderable amount as I was disillusioned with the fictional timescales compared to what seemed to be the facts

Started buying yesterday, and volumes are not accurate as I managed 2.25million shares and have a few more to go if I am to hit my previous holding, which suggests there is an overhang of shares available from whatever source.

My own belief is that there was never any intention of opening the OBA until FARC and ELN ceasefires, but do I think there should be boardroom changes...YOU BET.

Im sure many will be of the opinion BoD have plundered Amer as far as LTIP, and in my opinion the 'imminent' was never on the table.

For those of you in the know re volatility of the markets and thus share. there is a oil stock out their that's been freed up as someone is buying and shorting almost all small caps oils. There is still oil small cap companies not being shorted, anyone on anything else similar to Amer that's growing or has grown aggressively recently?

I feel that this is ready to fly, the market was subdued today all around, oil rose but some trepidation about opec meeting and related consequences. We will see in the next few days..

Francis - sorry to be pedantic but i think you mean Sunni and Shia and Saudi and Iran? Although Iraq is mostly Shia and Saudi most Sunni/Wahhabi.

volatility on oil price, OPEC loosing it hold on the price of Oil to the markets, Suni and Sheia differences in Saudi and Iraq holding back oil production freeze, big buck investers are making millions on small percentage gains and shorts on Oil price. they want sub 20p on Amer before they let it grow. I am in for six figures here again on a neutral buy as sold at 30p recently and if it goes sub 20p I am going in for more but might have to sit on it until year end as can't see OBA figures having any major effect on revenues before Dec?
