"It's pretty obvious this (Indico-1) could be a very large general, regional play....it's going to be a very active year!" JW

MGW getting excited again -

''Notice that @AmerisurResourc broker Stifel has hugely increased its TP from 20p to 35p on the back of CPO-5 exploration potential, something I concur with. ‘One of the most compelling we’ve come across’ putting 75% on upside. Wow!'' - 1:13 AM - 14 Jan 2019 from Guildford, England

I think we all understand the reality of 200ft net pay and two wells producing at 3,000+ bopd with excellent deliverability and zero OWC ;o)

Little need to ramp CPO5. However you might want to wrap it, in the next couple of months it's going to change the game.

Yes I expect production in Q4 won't be amazing but the position moving forward is extremely exciting.Platanillo has reached a plateau but that will in future just tick along at 4 or 5k bopd and be the least exciting of our assets.CPO-5 and our Oxy farm in are the future for Amer.

From Pickedpeck - Tues - The potential is enormous..

---

Does everyone understand this? Continuation of the same play, one field. 241 feet of pay.

...Fantasy.

Bounty - No, not yet. When the FPSO's in place at Lancaster and production is at full tilt then I'm gonna take a look at it..

....Understand the FPSO's in place, they're waiting for a weather window to connect the plumbing

Amer is not a sitting duck and never has been, not even at 9.5p. GC has support from the city, from the major investors, from the bod's and several hnwi's.

So forget a take over until GC gets the value he wants.

Lol gersemi, I wouldn't normally want to have any association with a sitting duck but in this case I'll make an exception ;-)

gersemi - I am following it for a year - nothing found yet. it became interesting to me - why forming a partnership that bought nothing in a year. probably they knew their first move before forming the partnership and that was the reason forming it. seems strange to me

It's the statement from Ravi Bangar - 'is NOW progressing AFTER ONGC found hydrocarbon reserves in its Mariposa well in Colombia'...almost as if the discovery in CPO-5 triggered the formation of the Geo-ONGC JV....the Indico-1 result will have certainly piqued the interest of the JV

AMER is a SITTING DUCK

The GeoPark-ONGC collaboration, based in Bogota and with the main intention of acquiring assets in Colombia and Ecuador is surely something to keep an eye on - especially after CPO-5 successes and its huge potential -

''India’s state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corp. (ONGC) is planning to boost its presence in Latin America following its formation of a partnership with Chile-based independent GeoPark, local press has reported.

“This [Bogota-based] joint venture is now progressing after ONGC found hydrocarbon reserves in its Mariposa 1 well in Colombia,” Ravi Bangar, India’s ambassador to Colombia and Ecuador, was quoted as saying by The Financial Express''

Afternoon BB - wouldn't disagree but there are many variables at play when it comes to frontier work which few have control over - incl the climate - so just as important for PIs to manage their own ;o) would trust PIs have similarly taken the lesson.

Interesting that AMER suddenly seem more self conscious, shy and quiet...just as they're starting to deliver. Probably for good reason - as they could find themselves staring down the barrel of a hostile bid @32-35p.

IMHO if the share price doesn't get moving pronto, that becomes more than a possibility. The IIs and PIs will decide the t/o price , not the BOD, which could explain the recent hefty position-taking. They'll know the risks of that are now amplified.
