10/1/2018 09:36 | Break out !?? | trotting12
10/1/2018 09:26 | harrisun I think you are completely misguided in your analysis: part of the reason stockmarkets are where they are is the upcoming IPO for Aramco (need to support Saudi modernisation). In order to support the Aramco valuation they need to support the oil price which has risen from circa USD 40/barrel to USD 65/barrel so far. This is far bigger money and geo-politics than a few shale-oil schemes - in the meantime Trump is targeting as much coastal drilling as possible around the US which will likely result in further oil price depression in the longer term. | aceuk

09/1/2018 21:53 | Citywire AA-rated Philip Rodrigs has upped his position in AIM-listed Latin American oil and gas developer Amerisur Resources (AMER).Rodrigs' employer River & Mercantile acquired an additional 15 million shares in the business, taking the total up to 77 million. This equates to 6.3% of the share capital. At a share price of 19.8p, the position is worth £15.2 million. By comparison, Amerisur traded around 65p four years ago.The largest chunk of the shares are held in Rodrigs' £877 million R&M UK Equity Smaller Companies fund, with a smaller stake in his colleague Dan Hanbury's £311 million R&M UK Equity Income fund.Amerisur has yet to enjoy much of positive momentum associated with the broader oil price recovery, despite its recent announcement of positive results from a large field. | croasdalelfc

09/1/2018 15:13 | Yes it would be so nice to break the next upward resistance it must be close | juuunx2
09/1/2018 15:07 | Feels more as if they are trying to wring every last seller out at this level before moving on up. By now, of course, many of the swing traders will have taken their profits (and they would not have been in volume, as we now know that many of those bargain shares were mopped up by R & M, possibly setting up a short squeeze). Brent at $68, last time I looked: exponential effect on the bottom line and cash flow to accelerate the drilling. More tenders out, one being for Loto, Mariposa, Indico and Sol plus a Bogota address (legal security requirements apparently) so it looks as if they are cranking the CPO-5 operation up. There were other tenders out for Indico, so that must still be the next drill. | charlieeee

09/1/2018 10:39 | This time last year: OBA exports 1839 bopd, total production 3124, Brent $53 = share price 28.5p Today: OBA exports 6152 bopd, total production 6971, Brent $67 = share price 19.8p ¿Que? | bigwavedave
09/1/2018 10:38 | Its likely that there is both a big seller and a big buyer The evidence is that there has still been no RNS from RH Been several from those building up holdings Its now academic though in my opinion Even if RH was selling all his holding, at the last occasion notified (not by RH) he was under 6% I note others saying there is no logic to the price or defying rational thought, but there is, its just that the logic and rationality falls outside of their own. Its very rational, very logical but will show in the fullness of time whether for example my rationality of buying a lot more at what I consider very low prices will pay off and a lot more than a 2% rise from what I paid, let alone my long term average. Look at the assets, not the share price, as even if it were totally idiotic management, which it isn't, that would be rectified by a predator. The assets are completely out of kilter to the sp, even at 20p, and even better with the sub 16p purchases. | foiledagain
09/1/2018 10:30 | Apeman - AMER where once 65p a share now they are under 20p. It's not been a great performance. Not all GC's fault. | tommygriff
09/1/2018 09:57 | "AMER - just off lows with big seller still around" Tommy, looks to me like there is a big buyer around, but happy to be corrected if you can show me your evidence for your statement based on yesterdays trades :-) | return_of_the_apeman |
