25/10/2017 18:27 | Soz guys I was referring to the weekly chart. It gives a better indication of where they're heading.... Sector sentiment v important, as is the oil price. I haven't even started on that yet. Just so's you know the us$ is about to breakout and we'll see a fairly short term counter trend rally. It'll be enough to squish pm's which is already happening and the oil price will likely follow. By around end November/December the US$ will have likely run out of steam and then commodities will rally as the $ rolls over. Gl. | ![]() boris cobaka
25/10/2017 16:42 | XOP looks 1.5% down to me, as low as it's been since opening..? God, I'm worried now... | davwall

25/10/2017 11:29 | Quite so, Lucy and Ace. The original sell down was significant, but the subsequent speed of drip is irrelevant (66k a day on the most recent calculation, which is negligible, even in the context of low volume days). The back drop here is excellent, with POO controlled by a cartel, who moved prices down by over supply to kill off shale and are now looking for high POO for the Saudi oil asset sale next year. The OBA completion last year was a significant achievement for AMER. What has been wholly unsatisfactory in this year is the failure to get cracking with the drilling program as promised. Summarizing the achievements for 2017 (excluding CPO 5) Plat 24 spanning 2016/17 Plat 22 last recorded at 800 Bopd Plat 21 bad cement job dogging ongoing production Plat 25 waiting for side track news. No wonder the share price languishes. What we need is confirmation that Plat 21 is consistently producing, a good result from the Plat 25 side track and Plat 27 (with all the data they have gathered) really needs to hit the sweet spot. That, and confirmation on CPO 5 flowing, should see the company finally meet its target and the share price head sharply north. | ![]() charlieeee

25/10/2017 09:49 | The bottom line is Rex Harbour selling doesn't make any difference to anything apart from when there is lack of demand due to company inaction/failure. Had the OBA been on time with no problems, had the company been upfront about various field issues, etc. the price would never have got so low. As you people all know the best fund managers like Woodford get it wrong and whether they buy/sell/fart or whatever else does not make any difference. Hedge Funds also get it wrong - they sell millions of shares in a company and the price can still rise. Harbour is a red-herring and the sooner you people accept the only difference his selling makes is at the margins (pun intended) the better. | ![]() aceuk
25/10/2017 09:48 | 27/6/16 RNS is the first time the RH fire sale was announced - from 14% down to 8. So in a year+ he's dumped another 2%. Hardly the game changer we make it out to be. | ![]() lucyp00p
25/10/2017 08:56 | No one knows why he's selling egg. What we do know is that there has been 3 recent director buys, which should calm any concerns you may have. | ![]() eddie_yates
25/10/2017 08:55 | Boris, it would be more accurate to say we are simply fed up with talking about Rex the Elephant Harbour, he having been discussed on an industrial scale over many months. He owns a lot of shares, he’s sold a fair wedge and will probably sell more, but how many is guesswork to the likes of us. As a result the share price could go down, or up whenever the end of his selling is officially notified. We know, boy do we know. Therefore, what’s left to discuss..? | ![]() davwal
25/10/2017 08:31 | Please can someone explain or point me in the right direction as to why Rex Harbour ended up with his shareholding and why he is trying to off load part or all of it. Thanks in advance | ![]() eggbaconandbubble

24/10/2017 21:22 | I am confidently calling a bottom here for AMER circa 19p because: 1. Lots of amer news in the pipeline ( pun intended) 2. Production steadily rising every month circa 7kbopd in nov and Dec forecast 3. Commitment by OPEC to get to 5 yr averages in global inventories: reduced the inventories by over 180 million barrels and we still have about 160 million barrels to go (4- 6 months?) 4. Us shale production has stalled and EIA 914 report indicates that the monthlies are lower than the weeklies (9.234m v 9.5m) 5. AMer has FCF and good margins with WTI above 50 ( heading for 55 by Dec/Jan) | ![]() oilandgas1 |
