Drewster. Don't think your assessment is correct. I think the market does believe, but it doesn't believe its the right time and in all likelihood they know precisely what the situation is with any seller, we don't.

It will end though as sooner rather than later an institution will swoop and soak up any shares and things will change.

But so far Amerisur should be registered as a charity, and they've got the same wages where share price has been trashed.

No nasty surprises, but no pleasant ones either, so the unremarkable reaction is a given.

The future still looks very promising, but the market still doesn't believe based on the share price

The future ia very bright with this one;-) strong set of results with lots of improvements made!! With production still ramping up and the drill campaign fully funded the only way is up from here :) also mariposa news soon and the OBA pipeline throughput increase in sight. All very positive for the future!

a pretty reasonable set of results , certainly no nasty surprises as some were predicting, need to study the detail a bit more - standouts good prod and can only improve now/ cancelling loan facility/ potential of the new (fully funded) new drills (17 and '18)...

9tintin - you are correct they made a loss of $1.6m, amazing but it is better than $6.8m loss last year. Agree that I think the board is too big but things are improving so the turning point cannot be far away. :0)

Could some one with accountancy knowledge explain what the 'Finance Charges ($922k) relate to, when the company has no debt??

tsmith, yet they still made a loss. the only beneficiaries so far are the enlarged Board of Directors. We are still producing less oil and less profits than we did prior to increasing the size of the trough for some and at a time when the share price is a fraction of what is was before the enlargement of the BoD.

I'm not suggesting they are not capable, they certainly are, but they need to be seen to be earning their keep and the share price and the results do not convey that in my opinion.
