We're currently bumping up against the 200 day SMA - it's almost flat, so perhaps shouldn't be construed as resistance.

And we're still riding up the 8 day ESA (or EMA, depending on your software). Stay above that - on a two day closing basis - and I'm happy.

It signals a sea-change in the board structure.
We are seeing the appointment of respected City and Oil Industry figures to the board who have both the industry knowledge and the contacts to make them work.

It could I suppose herald the departure of GC too who might be wishing to cash in his chips to invest in other ventures.

It could herald a round of fundraising and acquisition to create a much larger Oil business within the region. There are lots of opportunity targets.

Or, as others have suggested, it could herald a bit of grooming for disposal.

From where my thinking is at the moment, the GC option is unlikely because the share price is too low compared to the recent past and potential future.

Similarly, the third option.

So to me, the chances are that growth and market position is on the cards.

Companies like this debt free are ripe for a takeover. Let's just hope we are 50p+ when that happens rather than around this area. Looking for a quid on an 18 month view.

Not the sharpest tool in the box is francis55,
He says he has sold last week but I think he probably did at 21p
Now the trend has turned and the good news gets even better, I agree with tssmith that these now seriously undervalued
Fingers thread FXD gives a good analysis of the chart, and now a serious takeover threat I can't see it going for the 30s as someone suggested, I for one wouldn't sell under 45p

Shut up Francis are you regretting you have sold?, (worst possible decision imo looking at the graph and positive events)
Watch this rise quickly past 30p now..

I tend to agree with Sharesure. Once the latest acquisitions have been approved by the Colombian authorities, assuming some further drilling success and the pipeline upgrade has been completed to enable say 20,000 bopd to be exported, the company will be an attractive target.

GC et al have been in control for 10 years now and must be reaching the time when they want to cash their chips in. My money is on a sale by the end of 2017.

Set for 30p - first quick port of call. CPO news not at all factored in. Think these would be cheap at north of 45p

But Investec and WdeBroe were instrumental in helping reverse some of the so-called incentive schemes. I would see it as a positive and also think he may be instrumental in this company being sold.

Instead of surmising why not read the RNS? "It is intended that Alex Snow will join the Remuneration and Nomination Committees."
