Another decent non-exec appointment. Creates accountability over here with most of the board based overseas.

Think I'll watch the trading activity tomorrow from behind the sofa. As for Tuesday, I can't see how the negative strategy of a major shareholder can be ignored at the meeting, even if there isn't some direct play at the event by that person's representatives.

Last 2 years all I remember from the agm is that the pipeline is imminent and will be a game changer. (Yawn)

Re: the AGM - Most years there's an air of anticipation/excitement, usually because of some important news we've been (kept) waiting to hear. Experience has taught me not expect mega announcements. This year may be different if the block booking of hotel rooms for analysts turns out to be true. (I'd be more interested if they were booked into a proper hotel rather than that shambolic dump at St Mellons). We'll see.

Meanwhile, re: the "effing good" result at CPO-5 - it's worth looking at page 24 of the Feb presentation. Some cracking figures from neighbouring wells e.g. 10,400 bopd. What would that do for the sp?

How long does the seller have to keep the share price down to stop the ltip shares being vested?

If the prolonged selling has been tactical and a precursor to the AGM, Monday could be lively...

John Wardle should have written "f...ing good result" in his RNS.

Not posted before, but have held since just before the OBA went live. It looks to me that for whatever reason RH wants the share price as embarrassingly low for the Board at the AGM as can be (so possibly the selling will stop thereafter). If so all should become clear at the meeting. It's certainly frustrating as a shareholder feeling like the proverbial mushroom...

I daresay the bod were hoping that the share price would bounce a little higher on the latest news. The fact that it hasn't may not help the mood on Tuesday as something more fundamental seems to be holding us back. Answers on a postcard please

No Friday Bertie Wooster around then? One trading day left til GC gets a shock from rh's mates then? Wish I could be there wearing the right sort of pinstripe worsted.

Not the time to sell imo, why would you with that chart after being a long term holder coming through all the pain. Now is surely the time to enjoy the long awaited good times and the Big gain. I added again today as it's very cheap under 30, my short term tgt is 29 and wouldn't rule out a cheeky bid in the 30s

Good to hear that the infrastructure is good in Llanos, but to ascribe a value to it we need more information - eg reserves, likely cost of production.

Has potential to double reserves: last I saw Amerisur estimated 26mb net recoverable in CPO-5, but this may now increase, if Malcy's account is right.

If cost of production is like pre OBA Platanillo, then we may get no more than $15 profit per barrell, and in that case a rate of 1,000 barrels per day, with 26mb reserves is worth 3p per share.

But, let's wait for AMER to give details, and fantastic news all the same.

25p would be good support esp leading up to AGM Tues. But a breakout by the lagging indicator needs 26p, lets see what happens.

Malcy says:
Amerisur
"I’m actually quite surprised that AMER didn’t go up much more yesterday afternoon when ONGC released the results of the Mariposa-1 well on the CPO-5 block in the LLanos basin in Colombia. The 120 ft of oil saturated net pay, particularly where they drilled it on the edge of the block could be very significant indeed. This is AMER’s primary interest in that part of the world and as there is a lot of oil up there infrastructure is not a problem. Indeed if it goes to plan, what with other recent successes, the 7,000 b/d target has just got a lot easier. I understand that John Wardle’s comments were of what can only be described as significant joy and his real words certainly not for a family publication such as this. It’s been a good few weeks for AMER and I would expect further rallying of the share price to take all the good news into account."

So, JW believes it is an "f...ing good result", or words to that effect.

Well there a Kumo breakout although a little fragile and the possibility that 25p could become support if it sustains.
However, I'd like to see 28p and a more authoritative move to be confident.

The sustained selling has distorted the Ichimoku to a degree and where the share price is reflects the tension between the narrative and the market.
