21/3/2023 11:05 | This has held up remarkably well. Helps to put off traders! Is the next dividend next month already? Anyone flying off somewhere nice? | mrscruff

15/3/2023 10:51 | You're correct and a 50% plus discount as well . A bit more buying this morning Unlike the rest of the market which is sinking. | 2wild
15/3/2023 09:15 | Yield at 45.28 is 15.45%. | langland
15/3/2023 09:02 | Took a few more at the opening at 45.28p Yielding 14.59%. That's me done fully invested here for the long term. | 2wild
14/3/2023 17:53 | HL investors can only sell and not buy, is not great for everyone is it. Can't AA4 create a KID or are they slow? Money is also in my AJBell account. | mrscruff
14/3/2023 16:15 | There is little buying IMO because there is no KID for AA4 under the new isin. At least that's the story from Hargreaves despite my vociferous complaints. We can sell but we can't buy. So, if you think trade has been quiet, one of the reasons is that HL is out of the market. | langland
14/3/2023 16:03 | Credited by AJBell | skyship
14/3/2023 14:39 | 2wild, Sadly still waiting for my cash to turn up. | gary1966
14/3/2023 14:31 | Have reinvested my 64.5 p's in my Interactive accounts. Which were credited today. In total I have brought 13800 Shares at 45.28 P With 2 trades in each of my Isa and Sip. With 20% of Market cap being returned would have expected More buying on a 15.4% yield | 2wild
07/3/2023 14:44 | I think there is a hole in our bucket but a tap filling it up too. I can get very high quotes to sell showing amazing liquidity for a stock that has such few trades. Verdict: Surely a distressed seller and an extremely happy and patient buyer. | mrscruff
06/3/2023 17:15 | Surprised price has not risen. Must be a bit of a tap there. | my retirement fund
05/3/2023 22:25 | Yes, it's a huge shortage, aircraft manufacturers and suppliers shut up shop in covid, will take years to recover, second hand planes currently in short supply. Commanding good prices. Russia reportley having stolen 400 planes too does not help! Lloyd's of London faces £6bn claim over planes stolen by Putin https://mol.im/a/118 | my retirement fund
05/3/2023 09:41 | This year will be the first year airlines declare profits since 2019.In my opinion AA4 will continue to buy back shares and increase dividends. The P/E ratio here is very attractive and the share price should tick along nicely. | glenbo1
05/3/2023 00:08 | And with higher interest rates I recon older planes, though less efficient may be a bit more desirable than they were in the days of 2% rates.... | rjmahan
04/3/2023 12:41 | It's not only the age, it's the mileage/fatigue/wear & tear. It may be possible to squeeze out a further year of use out of them. Repo on bankruptcy/default and lease elsewhere. | casholaa
04/3/2023 11:48 | Not wanting to be silly but I’m not sure how you work that out. The planes are only worth 30m at the end of the lease. An A350 now is worth considerably more. It will be many years before they are only worth €30m. An A380 at the end of lease would be worth 30m. The leases with their coverage are spectacular. The aircraft are depreciated in line with the lease term. And the debt is paid down with the leases leaving great income plus a possible excellent gain as the aircraft are sold. I see it as a double play - significant yield AND a more than negligible chance of capital growth as the planes come off lease. But v interested to hear otherwise. The only clear risks I see are further bankruptcy of Thai. EK are simply not going bankrupt. Thai…well that’s the game isn’t it? | andyandyoj
04/3/2023 11:45 | Sort of, nobody has thought to take into account that many aircraft were grounded due to covid so each aircraft spent less time in the air, if leases could be extended that would be a bonus. | casholaa
04/3/2023 11:39 | @Andy If we multiply the planes by 12 and looking at the enterprise value you would run far away from AA4! I would agree with others that all the value is in the leases. [Edit: I am mistaken in this post. 30m is not the current value of a plane but at the end] | mrscruff
04/3/2023 09:50 | Ever tried multiplying $30m by 12 and looking at the market cap? | andyandyoj
03/3/2023 18:21 | Planes which cost $200m are worth perhaps $35m today. The value is all in the leases. | nicholasblake
03/3/2023 17:48 | The problem is that the leases were set up with a final value for the planes that in the case of the A380s has no doubt gone down. Difficult to estimate how lower but clearly market expectation are improving. | fram7 |
