From WINV annual report today:

The Company's portfolio has remained quite fully invested during the reporting period. This includes a previously undisclosed holding of some 3.7% of Net Assets in Amedeo Air Four Plus Limited ('AA4'). AA4 is a Guernsey company, whose shares are listed on the Specialist Fund Segment of the London Stock Exchange's Main Market. AA4 has a market capitalisation of £109.4 million and owns via its subsidiaries an aircraft fleet of six A380s and two B777-300ERs leased to Emirates Airlines ('Emirates') and four A350-900s leased to Thai Airways ('Thai Air'). As at 30 September 2021, the AA4 group held cash, net of provisions for maintenance, of slightly less than £84 million, which has subsequently been reduced by a £30 million pro rata capital redemption. In addition, unencumbered gross lease payments contracted to be paid to AA4 by Emirates as at 31 March 2022 were some £194 million. Once Thai Air trading has normalised, there is scope to return by way of capital return the £15 million held by AA4 as a capital buffer, and to increase very substantially the annual dividend of five pence per share, which is presently constrained by the AA4 board's prudent approach to Thai Air's current trading.

@pejaten The DNA1 £25m sale has to be weighed against the two DNA2 half sale returns at $12m.

Main reason for rise is that Emirates have agreed to buy DNA1 sole aircraft for £25m at the end of the lease in Dec. Gives some confidence in the residual values.I still like AA4 best due to the length of time remaining and the prospect of increase in dividend next year at the latest when Thai resume fixed payment.

Nice to see a bit of interest here and the price moving up. Good news about the A380’s as this will only underpin the NAV which the shares trade at a substantial discount to. Another dividend to be received shortly and at 5ppa underscores the investment case further.

That's some meaty trades going through. Not sure if just transfer of holdings between funds or if an overhang is about to clear.

31,7 to buy and only in small quantities at that through AJ Bell. Anyone doing better than that must have a well connected professional broker in the loop and by association you would be a high net worth investor.

Only thing I'd say is once you get to 2027 the backdrop on any leasing income/residuals is very uncertain. Does look interesting at these levels to me as well, but with no expectations of much income after 2027.

I still think there are motivated institutional sellers so they are happy to sell into any demand. I guess that sits somewhere between 66k and 900k!

fram7,

Yes that is correct and trading at a substantial discount to last published NBV of 72.45p that has fallen substantially over the last two years but I hope is nearing a bottom now. Also they are looking to increase the dividend from that level when prudent which also sends a positive tone.

Hi, am I right saying that that Amedeo expected dividend is around 16% per year? 1.25 p every quarter, 5p a year at 31 p per share?

I believe this is a very appealing dividend when compared to the limited alternatives in the market?

Regards,

F

Jeez and I have been struggling to get a sensible quote with IG for 66630 shares and someone has picked up 900k at 31.30p and I have had to buy mine in 5 trades this morning and paid 31.35p.

It does look OK on IG but I did notice that it had all been rebooked today. Can't see the original entry but suspect that it's slightly less than previously.

I do wonder if the plea to provide current bank details in the dividend announcement explains some of the delays.

Probably insignificant, but I'm struggling to see why today's announcement couldn't have been incorporated into the half year results?

CousinIT,

Received funds this morning but they have done a strange calculation and paid the wrong amount. Only a few pence but given that I have had to wait so long for it and stress related to chasing them, I thought the least they could do would be to pay the right amount. I would suggest you check the amount they have paid you as it should have been a straight forward 34.55pps but they have done a strange calculation that doesn't equate to that.

Nice to have it confirmed that the dividend is to be re-instated to 1.25ppq and they are looking to increase that amount once they see how the lessees perform in the real world.
