28/8/2020 23:40 | Extremely excessive I'd say. Clearly they are greasing palms for future or past favours. Obviously the $10m was needed very quickly. | ![]() excellance
28/8/2020 22:12 | I tend to agree but I am not sure that we will ever understand in what way this is the case. | ![]() jc2706

28/8/2020 18:03 | The incentive was somewhat excessive. The price movement is pretty normal so I don't think there is any need to make up scenarios to explain the movements. | ![]() jc2706
28/8/2020 17:15 | I don't think the freebies have been issued yet, otherwise we would have had an RNS confirming this and a statement of total shares in issue. Also Freedom Finance would need to issue a holdings statement as they would hold c 6% of the shares. | stockknobjockeyvanbookstino
28/8/2020 16:39 | Hard to understand the weakness here given the POG. The only obvious explanation is that the loan arrangers are dumping their freebie stock? I still can't believe that they got given over £3M worth of stock, for arranging a $17M bond issue was it?Alternatively perhaps insiders know that something is perhaps slightly amiss at the company?Anyway I continue to hold in the absence of any hard news.GLA have a nice weekend | ![]() cyberbub

28/8/2020 12:13 | Hi SKJV; thanks, a MM was obviously maintaining their quote for whatever reason. I was feeling uncomfortably exposed at the start of the month and offloaded a few on 5th August to put into other goldies, notably SRB..That's not an issue with ALTN, purely a question of balance and opportunism.Cheers, tightfist | ![]() tightfist

28/8/2020 09:37 | Sensible move stock imo well done. Re H1 results we broadly know what to expect but having just had another look at last years release there was quite a bit of info in it. So hopefully we can expect some guidance positive I hope mainly on grade going forward. Stockpiled ore of lower grade is hopefully now being left to one side as grades improve and the new drilling rig should now be alot more accurate in retrieving the higher grade stuff. 28/8/2020 09:17 | Tightfist, yes sold in about 12 tranches a couple of days ago to get a firm price. Actual quote never fell below 1.85 despite bid dropping to c 1.5 at one point. Feel a bit more comfortable now, initial £150k had risen to c£600k. Not sure about H1 results, don't think they will make great reading, but should recover on Q3 results if they get their act together. ' | stockknobjockeyvanbookstino
27/8/2020 14:37 | Federal Reserve to tolerate higher inflation in policy shift The Federal Reserve has adopted a new strategy for monetary policy that will be more tolerant of temporary increases in inflation, cementing expectations that the US central bank will keep interest rates at ultra-low levels for years to come. Jay Powell, the Fed chair, announced the shift as he addressed the Jackson Hole monetary policy symposium, which began in virtual format on Thursday. “Because the economy is always evolving, the FOMC’s strategy for achieving its goals — our policy framework — must adapt to meet the new challenges that arise,” Mr Powell said, according to prepared remarks. | ![]() outlawinvestor

27/8/2020 07:35 | At the moment we don't seem to have that follow through on gold after a decent move ... it will come but for now profit taking is following every $20-30 move A few months ago last nights good move would be followed by another and another over a few days but stood after one move.So I guess we are still in consolidation mode for a whike | ![]() onedayrodders |
