12/11/2020 16:04 | is mkt cap of under £40m reasonable? | ![]() excellance
12/11/2020 16:00 | the spread normally gives an indication of liquidity or volatility. i low volume share, erratic in nature, often has a wide spread, and this is to "protect" the broker, who wants a bigger spread to cover his risk. Well, if the company made the shares more desirable then trade volume would follow and the spread would reduce, but liquidity restriction means that because only 30% of the shares are not owned by directors there can't be greater liquidity until they let some go, or increase the number of shares, and we don't actually want that! | ![]() excellance
12/11/2020 15:51 | Yes, Ex. These current reduced prices should be a godsend of a top-up opportunity, but the spread here on ALTN is soul (and trade) destroying..! | ![]() linz22
12/11/2020 14:26 | Volume here recently has been miniscule, with trades over 100,000 quite rare. It won't take much to get this flying. Gold doing well today, up £16. | ![]() excellance
12/11/2020 12:00 | I do note the use of the word "stowage" in that rns. Stowage is a naughtical term apparently. "Storage is the act of placing material or ammunition and other supplies onboard the vessel. Stowage relates to the act of securing those items stored in such a manner that they do not shift or move during at-sea periods, using methods and equipment as approved by higher authority." | ![]() excellance
12/11/2020 11:49 | I don't think there's anything to worry about. AGM on 20 November where we vote for the Consolidation. With the family owning 70% I don't think I'll bother voting. Will we get Q3 before the AGM? I wonder if we'll get a nice juicy AGM statement to ponder over? | ![]() excellance
12/11/2020 11:46 | Was it this line that got folk worried? "...an additional storage facility will be built for stowing over 1.0 mln m3 of tailing solids, which should allow uninterruptible operation of the gold processing plant until 2024." | ![]() excellance
12/11/2020 11:25 | Anyway, share price today seems to be 1.47/1.67 | ![]() excellance
12/11/2020 11:23 | I'm hoping the last rns was just poor English. | ![]() excellance
12/11/2020 10:52 | Wondering whether they want to get the consolidation out the way first before shifting focus to next steps; not that this should have a bearing on a Q3 production update. The recent RNS however made me think processing is still not where it needs to be but hopefully misfounded. I do think the consolidation is a prelude to a placement to get some more institutions on the register and to then expedite development of the assets. Normally I am not fan of consolidations (especially if a placement follows it up) but the disconnect here to asset value is so significant that, along with the spread, it makes me stay firmly invested. | ![]() sloppyg
12/11/2020 08:50 | Have the management here screwed up yet again? They are quite happy to put out RNS's on share consolidations, name changes etc but whatever you do don't talk about production .... | ![]() stevea171
11/11/2020 21:01 | Only 4 trades today, all between 1.66 and 1.699 yet the share price dropped to 1.5 on close. Maybe Q3 tomorrow will help, or maybe not. | ![]() excellance
11/11/2020 18:08 | The key phrase being 'short term'. Gold was rising well before Covid-19 was a thing and it will carry on rising long after the vaccines have started rolling out. | ![]() jc2706
11/11/2020 16:59 | And back down to 1.5 8( | ![]() excellance
11/11/2020 16:30 | nice up tick just before close to 1.7p, but will it stay that way? | ![]() excellance
11/11/2020 13:40 | Gold testing support at $1866 again. | ![]() excellance
10/11/2020 22:54 | the new equipment was supposed to reduce or improve dilution of ore, so i'm hoping the Q3 numbers show a bit of grade improvement. | ![]() excellance
10/11/2020 22:37 | HG, it won't get those numbers if the grades stay low..... CPR suggests 3.6 g/t..... they are digging up 1.5 - 2g/t.Hopefully improve significantly with depth... | ![]() stockknobjockeyvanbookstino
10/11/2020 22:12 | Yep, excellence. 2021 is the year this comes together, or it gets sold. Either way £150-£250million range... | ![]() highly geared
10/11/2020 22:10 | i am not concerned. today's volume was low and the spread was 1.51/1.69 so not to wide compared to in the past. my guess is someone got a fright yesterday and bailed, but the gold bull run is not over yet, and in fact we are still at $1880 so no real change. also, i bought some ALTN not long ago at 1.59p and 1.60p so i'm quite content considering. news is due, and i think we all hope it will show reasonable production, but our expectation is over a longer term that upgrades and new kit will see big increases in production, reduction of costs, and then we also have the TS open pit to add in 2 or 3 years time. tomorrow is a new day... | ![]() excellance
10/11/2020 18:39 | £3 i wish. | ![]() c0lin1
10/11/2020 18:33 | Considering this was £3 a few months ago, and other than a few maintenance issues alls good, possibly a drop in gold which is premature. 6 months time all will be good IMO. | ![]() beerboy02
10/11/2020 18:06 | Perfect time for me to top up! | tonyfire
10/11/2020 17:36 | 750k (£12k sale @ 1.605) in this thin market did the deed today .. probably same seller in smaller chunks offloading a bit later too. Let's hope he or they are full of regret soon | ![]() onedayrodders |
