21/10/2020 05:52 | Yes, these buying opportuities are a real godsend and they just keep on coming. Unlike many of its peers, which can be difficult in this PM bull run to get the timing right for entry purchases or top-ups, ALTN is a share that just keeps on giving - which is why and how it's become by far my largest PM holding... | linz22

20/10/2020 15:30 | Teren-Sai is located close by to existing operations. Initially open pit, this should be relatively easy to get going. The question is how much of the existing processing infrastructure can be utilised. Can they ship ore from TS initially (they indicate on the website that this will be an independent processing facility)? How much would the existing plant need to be upgraded (they are upgrading this anyway)? Lots of questions but the bottom line is that there is the potential to considerably reduce the time to operation given its proximity to existing infrastructure. | jc2706
20/10/2020 14:56 | Following on from today's announcement and the possible reasoning behind it , did anyone else spot this from the interims Teren Sai The Company currently plans to prepare the site for production in 2020/2021 and commence production in 2022. That seems a very aggressive timescale for development based on where they are at the moment, unless some of the prerequisites for this are already in motion. | vish65
20/10/2020 14:54 | POG is the most important factor in my experience. I haven’t seen many mining share prices make progress outside of a metals bull market. The one gold exception that I know of is Lakeland Gold. There may be others but I am not aware of them. It is the nature of gold bull markets that all gold related shares tend to rise with it, just some more than others. Of course, the reverse is true which is why gold shares are not ‘forever holds’. The amount of resource in the ground tends to get valued even when the company producing from it is not doing that well. This is one reason I like ALTN - the value in the ground is not yet realised in the market capitalisation. Add in the real potential for production growth on the back of the recent financial injection and the potential is obvious. Of course, it could remain ‘potentialR | jc2706
20/10/2020 12:31 | "I like buying for pennies and selling for pounds" You may have just that opportunity. (For a while, at least...) | glavey
20/10/2020 12:15 | Thanks JC2706 - I get your point. POG is important too? | michaelfenton
20/10/2020 09:58 | I like buying for pennies and selling for pounds, not the other way around. | excellance

20/10/2020 09:46 | There are still people out there who do not grasp consolidation. A lot would prefer to buy in at the 2p mark then the £2 mark | snoopy12
20/10/2020 09:44 | Great read #4534 sclper with a concise, timely reminder of the strategy - though timescales have become stretched(!) since 2014! .Cheers, tightfist | tightfist

20/10/2020 09:26 | The number of shares may be 100 times lower, but the price is correspondingly higher, so to buy £10K worth costs...er £10k | excellance
20/10/2020 09:24 | I agree. PIs hate dilution (often for good reason) but dilutions that materially improve the business are positive. | jc2706
20/10/2020 09:22 | This is a main listing company. Penny stocks and all the related shenanigans are more apparent with AIM companies The company wants to spend large amounts of capital on T.Sai and and UG development of seki. Its not clear how they will get from A to B as this is still perceived as a junior and they are looking to make a very large 'step up' Altyn have yet to use that main listing to any good effect. . Maybe it now will and via the consolidation appeal more to those institutions dealing with main listed companies Cant say i personally like it but i can understand why.To me it also reflects things must be going well on the ground and that they want to move up a gear | vish65 |
