25/9/2016 19:59 | I keep pinching myself about this company. :-) I just went back and read the SCSW article again to see if there was anything I missed. The one thing that is amazing about ALT is that they are now a SaaS business with the large margins that accompany those businesses. But their investment in R&D is fairly small and isn't likely to grow much. They have the product ready and that allows them to state this in their interims, "As a result of these enterprise level agreements, Altitude is able to provide its unique and comprehensive "Click to Ship" online trading platform to large numbers of distributors through a single point of relationship. Such distributors have historically been reluctant to make the significant investment required to establish such a comprehensive online capability. We believe the Group's ability to provide a combination of bespoke integrated, hierarchical (grandparent, parent, child) websites, product catalogues, product visualisation and production-ready artwork functionality and a CRM/ERP solution, to these users, with no upfront charge, is compelling and potentially market changing.". The whole chain from customer, through disti and up to the printer is owned by ALT's software. The SCSW article made a couple of really good points. 4Imprint has revenues this year of $500m+ and the potential market for ALT is ~$1B. However, ALT has gross margins of ~80% compared to 4Imprint's 6% margins. I think what we have here is a real gem. At those margins they are going to be printing cash for fun as soon as there is any sort of volume from the Aprinta deal. And then you have the AI Mastermind deal and a "pipeline" of future deals at a similar level. Edit - ihatemms - I obviously didn't refresh before posting as we're saying the same thing. Very exciting. | sheep_herder
25/9/2016 18:07 | The potential of this stock could be spectacular. There is a free float of only 25% of the stock - so only about 11 million shares with 75% held by directors and institutions. The strong hints are that there will be a lot more contracts with distributors signed in the next few months. The gorilla in the sector 4imprint - did sales of circa £382m but only profits b4 tax of circa £24m yet it is valued at over £450m - the PE is circa 25. Alt is valued at the moment at only £17m. 4imprint looks like to be carrying o lot of heavy cost as margins are quite small. Varley has removed all the cost from Alt and it likes a very lean operation with the potential for much higher margins especially given the way they are setting up contracts as a 50:50 gross profit cut. If this does profits of say £5m next year- pe of 12 value at £60m- share price £1.40 2018 profits say £10m pe of 15 - value of £150m- share price close to £4. It's easy to see why SCSW and directors are excited about the prospects for this stock. I certainly intend to buy more- b4 the masses arrive. | ihatemms
