29/4/2022 12:29 | This link appears to no longer be behind a paywall. Worth a read for anyone who hasn't read it previously. How much of this concern has mitigated since publication, if any?https://www.ft.c | davidro77
29/4/2022 12:24 | Rubio, Colleagues Urge CFIUS Review of Alphawave Acquisition of U.S. Semiconductor IP Company APR 28 2022 Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senators Marco Rubio (R–FL), Todd Young (R-IN), Tom Cotton (R-AR), Josh Hawley (R-MO), and John Cornyn (R-TX) sent a letter to U.S. Department of the Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen regarding Chinese-funded Alphawave IP Group’s intent to acquire U.S.-based semiconductor IP developer OpenFive. Alphawave, which touts its extensive business in China, is backed by Wise Road Capital, a Beijing-based private equity firm propped up by the Chinese Communist Party. The senators urged the Treasury Department to conduct a Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. (CFIUS) review of the OpenFive acquisition. “The OpenFive acquisition would nearly double the number of connectivity-focused IPs available to Alphawave customers, as well as accelerate Alphawave’s roadmap for advanced connectivity solutions,” the senators wrote. “[I]t would also risk undermining U.S. trade and export policies given the strong possibility that Alphawave would redeploy OpenFive’s IP outside the U.S. That would mean furnishing Chinese semiconductor companies with advanced IP developed through U.S. technology, thus enabling the CCP to develop next-generation products in advanced semiconductor processes. Such an effort would impact U.S. national security interests, particularly given Alphawave’s continued access to U.S. technologies, as well as its use of joint domiciles outside the U.S. and beyond the jurisdiction of American export controls.” The full text of the letter is below. | timmy11

29/4/2022 12:23 | This is shorters spreading fake infos to suppress the share price, obviously manipulation, excellent audited results | fadab
29/4/2022 12:20 | gotta feel for the long term holders here! back in @138 after taking another 20% trading profit. GLA | lawson27
29/4/2022 12:20 | Cupra Kid. Yours has been a most sensible and practical comment I have seen on this site for ages. There are so many with agenda's here and it really makes you wonder! | gregmorg
29/4/2022 12:17 | RNS Headline; "Strong maiden FY results with >170% y-o-y revenue growth and continued momentum in Q1" Strip out China; "Excluding China, our total bookings for 2021 were US$87.9m, an increase of 47% from 2020 (US$59.8m). Excluding estimates of royalties, we generated 92% year-on-year growth in bookings from North American customers." Quite a difference... Q1 bookings excluding China were $25m, so YoY growth appears to be slowing significantly. The way they present their figures just invites criticism and scrutiny as far as I'm concerned. | 74tom
29/4/2022 12:08 | Comments are still doing the rounds about potential fraud and the related party revenue being almost all of their revenue growth: eghttps://twitter.co | davidro77
29/4/2022 11:50 | I would be more inclined to see the value and top up. No one wants to see an investment in negative territory but to catch the bottom is very difficult. True value will happen once the influencers have had their fun. | cupra kid
29/4/2022 11:40 | It's still the 12th most shorted stock out of 750 tracked at 3.8%:https://www.sho | davidro77
29/4/2022 11:32 | How can this be worth 185p at 830am and 138p 3 hours later when results were out pre open. I mean that is a ridiculous swing. Adding here just feels like catching the proverbial falling knife. Perhaps better to just move to the sidelines and let this nonsense play out before considering further investment | davidro77
29/4/2022 11:28 | So the delayed results was the red herring we hoped it was. We were at 190p. Now 140p and tanking. Can't think it's about the acquisition threat as that broke yesterday. So can only be shorting / manipulation. Unless someone can see something in that statement we have missed? Is this the next THG and it's going sub a quid!? | davidro77
29/4/2022 11:19 | Mm, this is tedious! Within a few months I have managed to enlighten myself with the obvious conclusion that I know nothing about the high tec semiconductor business! | gregmorg
29/4/2022 10:58 | Bonkers bank holiday weekend trading, added 143p that is my lot, back in Q4 GLA | ny boy
29/4/2022 10:45 | Shorters doubling down it seems ? | amurra26
29/4/2022 10:14 | It's DOWN 6.1%!!!! wtf | davidro77
29/4/2022 09:24 | That was dated yesterday. But timing of it sucks considering the noise around results. With all the noise around china seems a far bet their could be issues with this acquisition. The results look good though from first reading. Market has given a shrug and we still sit far below where we were before the news of a delay which is bizarre?Alphawave, which touts its extensive business in China, is backed by Wise Road Capital, a Beijing-based private equity firm propped up by the Chinese Communist Party. 29/4/2022 09:12 | What is there not to like in this results. Excellent all round earnings. I am surprised it has not gone up to least the level pre results delay. | hjs

29/4/2022 08:51 | Added earlier, the last drop, a bear trap, results far too good not to go up from here imo bottom up jobbie Will catch up in Q4 to see how these are going. My shopping is complete here. | ny boy |
