I see this was spammed over the weekend. At first glass, anything above zero for the share seems too high.

Simple as as been explained above Barc get more of their money back by a slow sell down than appointing liquidators but they will still be taking a hit that could be in excess of £50 million per accounts - MM's imo making a turn from PI's who cannot understand accounts or trading position - Remember this is a Channel Islands registered company and company tax rates there are ZERO so no residual tax loss benefit (imo) Perhaps any accountant could double check this (all imo no investment advice DYOR all cautions apply etc..

Over 50% of the total share capital changed hands on Fri, trying to match buys to sells points to lots of day traders trying to make their 5-10%? and out, some weren't that fortunate. Investors here are saying the shares are near or are worthless, then why are the shares still listed? Why are Barclays allowing the BOD (2) to spend some of the income? Whilst the shares still trade their is the chance that someone might see value in the company or the 3 remaining properties could increase in value/rent. I know it has a negative NAV, what do Barclays know that shareholders aren't privi to? Barclays are a ruthless bank not a charity!

Indeed Keya. The company has spelled things out perfectly clearly...

"As the Board has previously stated, the sales process will not result in any return to ordinary shareholders after repayment of the Trust's bank borrowings, to the extent that this is possible, has taken place."

"We draw attention to the disclosures made in note 2 of the condensed consolidated set of financial statements which explain that it is the intention of the Board to seek an orderly disposal of the Group's investment property with a view to winding up the Group in due course"

Unless something changes the shares will delist and be worthless in the near future. Buyers here are just gambling that they can sell their worthless shares to another mug punter before that happens. A pretty silly gamble IMVHO.

Only tactic here would be for a mentalist to try and get their hands on 29% keep them and hope the MMs had gone short, other mentalists then buy and you have a multi-bagger.

I am a mentalist but not that mental.....

Agree, and if you did buy 5% of the share issue - no guarantee of being able to sell them

It just moves on liquidity issues, tiny mcap and 5% can be bought for £10k.

Basically Barclays are letting them conduct an orderly disposal of assets but when all sold the debt will still be there, so hence it then gets wound up.

No chance of any shell value either I suspect at the end.

I would have thought Barclays are in total control of the situation..
Shirley - it's simple. After the results it's being pumped.. It can actually fall a further £100k..

Don't understand why price increases if going bust.. Then again mcap only 100k can it go any lower

Aha Dogwalker. That's the first time I've come across somebody who thinks there are ordinary and extraordinary shareholders.

Do please entertain us with your definition of each type (this should be funny!)

'A plain deramper'? Surely Lmpass is more likely to be a 'ramper'? That's if we have to name-call of course.
The company's said there's nothing in it for 'ordinary' shareholders, which doesn't include 'extraordinary' ones , does it. Presumably someone is wanting some control in this situation.
